It's all about the lowered expectations

That was worth the price of admission in itself

I blame it on RT hockey, the guy has to open up play more. EP needs to worry less about his own end and start scoring.

A few comments;
Lack of shot may be because no one is accepting passes in a shooting position. Especially evident on the power play. The rare pass for a one timer is in the skates and the receiver has to handle the puck three times before shooting. On the rush, instead of doing the Guy Bossy shot from the top of the circle, it's hold the puck to just below the dot allowing the defender to close even further. This is the way they were playing before the 3 game win streak. If you are not facing the net, ready to shoot, defenders will have time to block or deflect shots. Everyone is positioning themselves to pass not shoot.
How many times did the Utah coach ask to see the manager?
First Utah goal, floater from a far, tipped in the slot amongst a screen and in, That is the story on Silovs and speaks to positioning where he has body in front of those tips. He also dropped his glove hand as I have noted before.
Bains? Why? Is it showcase time?

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I miss those goals, but you hardly ever see them any more. I think that goalies, goalie equipment, and goalie coaching are just too good, now. They have improved more than composite sticks have helped the shooters.

These days it is hard off the pads for rebound to the slot. A defacto pass.Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 7:48 pmI miss those goals, but you hardly ever see them any more. Or the fact they are missing the best defenceman in the game. He drives play from the back end. Tocchet is coaching the players he has.
