Friedman saying Miller is going to play tonight because a trade fell through, perhaps with the Rags.

There had been some talk to hold JT out of the games as trade talks heated up

Those talks have cooled so he is expected to play tonight

Does not know the team or teams involved but suspects one is NYR

Doesn't know for sure what the hold up is

Doesn’t believe JT has been asked to waive

Canucks sent a league memo to other teams warning about tampering and saying a team needs their permission to talk to players

Believes a few teams have been given permission to speak to JT but doesn’t know which ones

Pettersson met with management and was asked if he wanted to stay or be traded and he said he wants to stay

Said more than one team may be involved

Said situation has cooled but could get hot very quickly


So basically he said nothing new and a lot of speculation. Are we sure he doesn’t post here on this GDHMB

Well in fairness JT could have been the problem all along. He got Bo traded, Bruce fired, Kuzmenko traded but Pettersson was a step too far.

Curious about the 3rd party? Very intrigued by this. Sounds like the Nucks are trying to flip a Ranger asset they don’t want but will accept if they can flip him. Sounds like that’s the hold up.

Maybe it will be up to JT.
It could be his reps complained enough that the Baldies said they will look at trades that can help the club and once arranged, give those clubs permission to make their case to JT. Now it’s up to JT whether he wants to stay with this coach and these teammates because management is sticking with Tocchet and EP whether JT likes it or not.
Games like last night might have him wanting to stick around.
Games like the previous two might have him wanting to go to a better situation, either for better cup odds or for other personal reasons?
