2016 - wanted Tkachuk, but accepted Juolevi as we had no D on the farm and had drafted two wingers in a row (Virtanen, Boeser)
2017 - either or of Glass, Mittlestadt, Rasmussen, Vilardi. Thought Pettersson was a bean pole
2018 - wanted Zadina I believe, can’t remember
2019 - wanted that D Soderstrom I believe
2020 - didn’t care, no pick
2021 - didn’t have a pick, didn’t care
2022 - wanted Pickering I think
2023 - wanted Benson at points, also wanted Willander
2024 - who cares, no pick
2025 - poised to be picking 20th overall around there. Need a centre in the system, badly. These centres are getting ranked around 20th overall:

Yes, keep the pick. They are not winning the cup plain and simple, it’s been a disaster year, so why bother. But it’s Rutherford and the Aqualini’s so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do trade it. They have fuck all in the way of centres in the system. I’m sorry but Raty is not top 2 line centre material, we still don’t know if he is even NHL material. Fortunately the draft is loaded with centres especially around where we should be picking.

Landon DuPont named WHL rookie of the month. The kid is something special and not draft eligibile until 2027.

Canada certainly is not shy on producing elite talent lately (Bedard, Celebrini, Schaefer, McKenna). Think the real problem is those running Hockey Canada. They are labelling Maddox Schultz (2028 class) as the “next one”. Already considered the best 2010 born player in the world.
