You're right - I don't want my team thrown into the same thread as the imbred, gas huffing Oilers
There's a difference? ;)
Well maybe not to you, but there is for me :look:

Besides, my team is 3 - 0 so far this season - the imbreded gas huffers are 0 - 3 - so yeah, big difference

I've probably jinxed it now....oh well

Might be time to splurge for some allopurinol and some colchicine.

Saw a guy in an Oilers jersey today when I was oot and aboot.

I was going to say "So are they ever going to win a game?"

But he looked so miserable I had mercy.

He may have read my mind though, what with the big smirk as I looked at said jersey.

In my area, almost everyone is an Oiler fan. There is one guy down the street that is a fellow Flames fan, and there is a guy one block over that is a Canucks fan, otherwise, Oilers flags, jerseys, hats, signs, etc., are everywhere. So consider yourself luck Doc, it could be a lot worse. :drink: :drink: :mex:

He might have, except he had no idea I was a Canuck fan.

When your team is 0-3, you shouldn't wear your jersey in public in enemy territory

... unless you're also wearing a paper bag. :D

I'm sure the poor schmuck received plenty of abuse on the mean streets of Abbotsford.

Yeah, it could be a lot worse I suppose, althooouugh...

My neighbour is the biggest Oiler fan in town.

And he's also a Canuck fan. :?

A strange animal indeed, a hybrid...

I have lived in Edmonton for a while now. I love this city TBH. I take a fair bit of shit for being a Canucks fan but overall fans here are fine. But I sense a mass depression descending on the fan base. They are truly realizing their team is not fast and young anymore and that their goaltending and defense will not miraculously fix itself.

Edmonton actually is a pretty nice city on the south side of the ditch but they're ruining it with the skidtrains pumping bums into the better areas. I used to have a place in town around southgate for Monday to Friday working days until about a year ago.

Like Van way too many skids and way too much crime nowadays.
