Id do Demko and Eriksson for OELSKYO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 2:10 pm Dreger with some info:
Think Arizona wanted Demko initially but that should be an automatic hang up the phone for Benning.
Only way Armstrong should be bold enough to ask for a prospect of that substance is to take a Sutter or Eriksson back.![]()
Demko is a keeper (no pun)

Yeah, but you'd also do a 400lb E. Hastings tranny hermaphrodite hooker.....and pay shim a month's salary for the "pleasure".Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 3:28 pmId do Demko and Eriksson for OELSKYO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 2:10 pm Dreger with some info:

Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

You're not kidding. I was expecting the same term, but that's over half a mil less than I figured for AAV.
Well done Elmer.

Oh snap!
icymi from elliotte:GM Bill Armstrong on the Fri. trade deadline set by OEL's agent Kevin Epp:
“When you have the no-(move) clause you can do what you want.
I guess they set deadlines, too.
There's nothing I can do to control that.
It's something they wanted to get accomplished & I guess they did."
"I just heard as of this afternoon, it looked unlikely for Boston. That made Vancouver appear like the more likely destination."
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

OEL is lowering the price.....
OEL for Ericksson, steach, MacEwen, and Arizona retains $500k of cap per year. Loui's cap hit will allow AZ to "break on thru" to the other side of the cap floor.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Don’t think it is Eriksson. The yotes will only do 1 years like Sutters last year, if they retain $1.25 million, we in the hook for 7. We lose a left side D prospect in the trade like Juolevi or Rathbone and a forward prospect not named Hoglander or Podkolzin like Kole Lind

I would guess its Erikssons contract that is the hitch rather than the rest of the fluff going that way. Early rumours were Juolevi and a pick which is fair value considering the barrel and his contract.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:19 pm Don’t think it is Eriksson. Im curious if Marky is waiting on his best pal to climb aboard before he resigns...he seems like the type who would think that might be important

More like the Canucks have put everything on hold until they know one way or the other if they land OEL, and at what cap hit if they convince Arizona to retain anything. I think all the Canuck's FA have been put on hold pending this. If they don't make the deal they can afford everyone they want back, if they can dump a contact. But if they don't make the deal they maybe fine letting Markstrom walk and going with Demko. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:23 pmI would guess its Erikssons contract that is the hitch rather than the rest of the fluff going that way. A few GM's mentioned they suspect tomorrow they'll be a lot of moves made.
Rob Blake said that after the draft the GM's go on a negotiation spree tonight.GM Sweeney says he thinks there will be some trades among teams tomorrow.
Teams want to see what they got going on heading into Friday UFA day, the majority of all the GM's work is done in this two-week window, so they can all go on vacations before the season begins.Kings GM Blake on trade talks league-wide: "A lot of the calls happens tonight. It's amazing after the draft the calls that are placed. . . There will be a lot of communication going forward."

OEL, Hedman, Tavares....this was Jordan Schroeders' draft year 2009. Quite a while ago.
Maybe Benning should start yanking back on his offer since the canucks are the only hat in the ring. Fuck em.

So, is today the day we bring back Marky and bring in OEL and Canuck fans line the streets to YVR to wave good bye to Loui?
Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO
Sportsnet claims Yotes demand the Demigod and a first. They are in a tight spot though as they cannot trade with anyone else, as it seems Boston already walked away.
Still, we cannot protect both Marx and Demko, so if one of them can bring us OEL in exchange, why not?
Demko, Loui and a second. They retain 1.25 on Larsson’s cap hit, throw in a third, and we’re done!
But then we need to have a deal with Marx in place too. We can’t lose both goalies...
Will he accept a discount to help accomodate OEL’s cap hit and improve our shot at a title?

Demigod and a first. Yah, no to that. Wouldn’t give up either. Move along and let the Marky get paid elsewhere. Use the money saved to sign a RD, and a 3m one or two seasons back-up goalie.Per wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 6:46 am Sportsnet claims Yotes demand the Demigod and a first. Big day for Stecher today, will he be qualified?

If, and that is a big if, Benning knows for sure Marky will sign (contract already in place), I would probably do that deal but force them to accept another dead weight contract.Per wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 6:46 am Sportsnet claims Yotes demand the Demigod and a first. Demko, Loui, Stretcher, 1st + their choice of Sutter/Baer/Beagle for OEL and a mid round pick.
As said, I would do that deal if there is a deal already in place for Marky. If they are giving up a first AND Demko, they have to have AZ agree to take on more dead weight contracts.

I wonder what the fucking hold up is? Benning seems to be in a bind. Markstom? OEL? Markstrom should have been signed already. Looks like he’s going to market.
