Interesting option, rolling every team back to 68 games.

People parked alongside hiway 16 into town today. Lots of people with signs or sitting in the back of a pick up wearing Jersey.. signs started at saskatoon, and the lineup of vehicles on the side of the road outside his hometown went for miles..Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 8:51 am That’s terrible.

Interesting solution, Reef. Sounds all the world like some much maligned respected poster on this here board suggested about two weeks ago.Reefer2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:04 pm Interesting option, rolling every team back to 68 games.

So under the % plan we would play Edmonton. Under the 68 game plan we would play Colorado. Pick your poison! But under either plan we would be in the playoffs with a healthy team!!
The only HW the Canucks need

I’m honestly hoping they shitcan the season instead of some bastardized form of playoffs or playins or rolling back to 68 games. Devils can have the pick for all I care as well.
Try and start the next season as close to Oct 1 as you can,,,, might be Jan/Feb.

I agree, although I feel like they may be able to start the 2020-21 season in October.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 1:36 pm I’m honestly hoping they shitcan the season instead of some bastardized form of playoffs or playins or rolling back to 68 games. I don’t even care if they don’t get any compensation if they can’t re-up Toffoli. I mean I’d like to see him stay, but it isn’t Elmer’s fault the season ended and he made the move to get his core kids a playoff round or two.
We probably won’t hear anything on canceling this season until May 1 at the earliest. Then a large number of issues have to be addressed with a ton of ways the league could decide regarding draft picks, lotteries etc. It’s fun to speculate I guess but I’m sure they have ideas and thoughts that average folks haven’t even thought of.
This covid beard is starting to itch though.

Well the 68 game season, if that is called soon, would or should be the draft order too, which is what I was getting at.
Now there would be no harm, (IMHO), if that were to happen on time. Why not? No, the in person interviews wouldn't happen
but if pulled off to the satisfaction of all concerned, what a boost that would be for moral in general.

Theres a fair amount of talk about neutral site games with empty arenas....i can see the count rammming a week or 2 of regular season games in then roll through a shortened playoffs. They'll need to delay the next season start but that shouldnt be an issue either.Micky wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 2:03 pm Well the 68 game season, if that is called soon, would or should be the draft order too, which is what I was getting at.

The NHL is far too greedy to let all that revenue go
