I predict 6'4 Thatcher Demko gets traded to a team looking for a long-term solution in net, he'll have a Cory Schneider like career imo, goalies age like fine wine and he'll just keep continuing to improve and be a top 10 goalie in the league for many years.
Which is also why the Canucks can afford to play a little bit of hardball with Marky in contract negotiations.
Stick to two years. IF he don't like it, well then adios amigos, and the Canucks sign a vet goalie to play 50/50 with Demko as he develops into a #1.
And there's a shit ton of goalies avail this summer -

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I'm thinking the Canucks are done for the day and this is the team we're going to the dance with. I'm ok with that.

I'd be happy if they just re-sign Toffoli 5 years right now.

Now we're on the road and Toffoli will be bonding with his new team-mates. It's a good bunch, I think he'll want to stay.
He's use to the time zone, mm?

Coming off an ear infection doesn't help my trade ideals ha.
I predict Baertschi agree's to terminate his contract, no team wanted him on waivers, he's not getting called back to the Canucks anytime soon, don't see him wanting to spend another year in Utica/AHL.
There are teams interested in his services, just not at his current contract. He can sign a cheap one year deal with some team to get back into the NHL again, and then re-sign when he's proven himself.
Seems like one of Tanev/Stecher will get moved or let go....I still see Tryamkin making a move back to Vancouver.
Plus OJ and Rafferty will be battling for a spot come training camp, and we need cap space so one of Tanev/Stecher will be gone.Todd Diamond said via text message. “Vancouver has his [Tryamkin's] exclusive NHL rights, he is familiar with the city, ownership, management and staff, and we will engage in talks after Nikita’s KHL season.
“The team and coaching staff is much different from when Nikita was last in Vancouver and we view that very positively.”
The big Russian defenceman is under contract with the KHL’s Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg through the end of the 2019-20 season.
“Obviously he’s on our reserve list,” Benning said Thursday morning. “Our pro scouts continue to watch and keep tabs on him. When his season is over and his contract is up, I’ll speak with Todd.”
“Nikita is a guy we know can play in the league. He’s a good skater for his size and he can make a good first pass.”

If Gaudette continue's to improve, that could mean Sutter gets moved this offseason.
Eriksson would be awesome if moved to a cap floor team - his NTC will be modified come July 1st. In any case should be a busy fluid offseason for the Canucks.

Canucks Murph, who is with the team in Montreal has been told that they have a couple of minor league moves they're working on but that's all..

I would be happy with clearing out Bear for a 7th round pick just for the cap relief.

Facts bru!
In any case, glad Jimmy jumped the gun and snagged Toffoli off the market before TDD.

I bet his price would have been a bit higher today as GM's get itchy trigger fingers.

Markstrom had an MRI on a knee this morning, missed practice, no word on his return to the lineup.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
