Green: "He doesn't have to make a statement to us. Stech isn't the kind of guy that goes out there to make a statement because someone asked him about a trade. This guy plays hard every night. Loves his teammates, loves to win. That's not the reason he played well tonight."

“I’m from here and I love playing here. I take pride whenever I put on that jersey, and I try to represent the city with respect and try to make (the fans) proud. If I’m here, I’ll continue to do that. If not, then I enjoyed my time here.” - Troy Stecher on trade rumours #Canucks

I don’t want the team messed with but I’d like to see Baertschi’s contract moved out to a team where he has a chance to play, and if they could add a depth D for the playoff run without any subtraction, that would be good. They have an empty roster spot with only MacEwen and Benn eating popcorn.
The Canucks have no choice when it comes to Stechers arbitration. He gets the Ben Hutton treatment, nice knowing you. Great guy in the room loves being a Canuck but Tanev and Markstrom resignings are most important

It’s a step in the right direction getting rid of Baertschi’s contract
Have to say, not hugely impressed with Roussels play of late, maybe he gets traded. To be honest Im really liking Sutters game and role on the team.
Miraculously get rid of Erikssons contract will solve a lot of money problems

So Tyson Barrie....
Is he playing to be traded or does just plain stink in his own end?
I can absolutely see Benning moving OJ+ for him but the deal hasnt finalized likely due to the Laughs need someone who can play right now.
So would you, canuck-scorners, move OJ and Stetcher to acquire TB?
He’s a UFA in a few months, with his current horrid play not sure the Laffs are getting much value in return. He’s kind of always been known as weak in his own end

Roussel is definitely looking like a shadow of his former self but is coming off a horrible injury. I might sub him out for the odd game and load big Zack in there instead.

I have watched him in past seasons and hes not giving it his best for TO at all. Theres much more talent there than what they're getting out of him.
Might be an opportunity to buy low on a fantastic talent and have him come in and shine for his hometown team.
I would do the trade...especially if you can saddle them with soft sven as well

I’d be surprised if the Canucks have another trade in them before Monday but I gotta believe with the challenging summer Benning will have that we may see a lot of activity leading up to the draft. Gotta hope we do well in the playoffs making some players a little more sought after

Trading for pending UFA’s is an option to get rid of some contracts with term, we’ll see

Really liking how Toffoli looks with EP and JTM so would you consider moving Boeser this offseason for a haul and resigning TT?
I'm pretty sure Benning could convert him into at least 2-3 excellent young and affordable assets...plus with how well TT has looked, not even miss a beat

I’m not opposed to this. Minnesota would love to have Brock and they’d pay an arm and a leg for him, they love their locals - Parise, Suter. The Wild had two players in Buttons recent top 50 NHL affiliated Prospects list - at 4th Kaprizov LW/RW and at 27th Khovanov a centre. With Podkolzin and Tryamkin on the way???! Whaddaya say????

Hilarious how I suggested that maybe Boeser could be dealt for an elite young D man a year ago and the Chef and his urine crew went fucking bananas about it.
