wouldn't it be ironic if Neal gets 60+ points.
This is one of my biggest fears. Apparently there is only a 10% salary retention by Edmonton, which is not nearly enough. Also hearing that there isn't even a conditional draft pick involved. Fuck Treliving - what the fuck - was he drunk when he made the trade???? I never liked Lucic before and I certainly don't like him now. Slow and useless.
Not that Neal was lighting it up, but I think they should have given him another season to turn his game around. Anyway, the pitchforks are out for Treliving and rightly so.

There must be a ton of threads & posts on Calpuck over the years deriding the Oilers for signing Lucic and Talbot... wonder what they're saying about them now?
Can't see them being too vocal about Smith yet, since he was the Flames playoff goalie.
That’s a horrible deal for Calgary. As a Canucks fan, this is great. We avoid Lucic (even if we have to keep Loui, he’s a better player), and the Flames get slower and shittier.
Neal actually could rebound nicely in Edmonton, but Lucic is done as an effective NHL player.

Two conditions have to be met for Oilers to send 3rd round pick to Calgary - James Neal has to record at least 21 goals and Lucic scores at least 10 fewer goals than Neal.
I can see it now. Neal sits at 19 goals with a handful of games left. Ice time gets reduced. Finally gets benched. No 3rd going to Calgary. Lol.
Love this trade. Simply hilarious. I can see Neal hitting the 20 goal mark and then being sat for the rest of the season to make sure there is no 3rd rounder going back to Calgary. Funny as hell. Btw, is that condition only for next season? I assume it is.

Calpuck hates the trade, and is in meltdown. 60+ plus pages of griping about it.
