Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
I understand the NHL has a very strict contract with Sportsnet.
I also understand that Sportsnet, ( guess it's ok to just say Rogers, LOL), throws bones to CBS and TSN.
It has been dreadful since they closed the regional stations and their share of independent offerings.
I know the contract is important to the NHL owners and the PA; Nice to know and trust money will be there, granted.
When it comes to an event like our young stars, no one is permitted to air it on TV. This, in my opinion, is rather stupid.
If it creates a bigger interest in the coming NHL campaign, which I would venture to guess potentially add to Sportsnet's audience, then,
WHAT THE HELL, is wrong with it?
just wondering.

I should move to the States because I like sports other than hockey? The TEAM doesn’t even cover hockey; they only cover the Canucks. Do you need 24-7 Canucks, Bush League Lions football and beer league soccer only?RoyalDude wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 10:47 amMove to America if you love DP thenBlob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 8:25 amI love DP. It’s a shame that they shitcanned 1410. I miss listening to Jim Rome as well

I hate football McKenz (sorry Brian CC) I like the MLS. But I’m a hockey fan. The older I get the more minimalist I become. I used to follow all kinds of sports but you know how it is
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Then it gets to be a mood thing
"Good" curling, women.s softball, lacrosse(rarely found), etc.
NBA ? maybe the last minute or two of a game, rarely. Couple times a year. Maybe.

How about women's curling?
In fact, you could just close your eyes, turn up the audio and imagine things.
"Hurry HARD!"
