Why can’t we just all get along.

Plus none of this has to do with RFA signings.

"Around the League"

We were discussing Mike Keenan's possible return to the NHL...

This has me thinking, what was each GM's best trade?

Quinn - maybe the Naslund trade?
Keenan - Linden for McCabe, Bertuzzi and 3RP (Ruuttu)
Burke - McCabe, 2000 1RP, 2 x 3RP to get the Sedin picks
Nonis - Bertuzzi for Luongo
Gillis - Probably Ehrhoff for Rahimi and Patrick White. Possibly Schneider for Horvat, though that was far more even then trading Nonis' garbage prospects for a great dman
Benning - probably a 2nd for Baertschi

^ Too soon to tell regarding GMJB

Might turn out to be the Dahlen or Goldobin trade.

Might be a trade he makes in the mid 2020s. :D

I'd go with Butcher and Dan Quinn for Momesso, Dirk, Ronning and Courtnall. It was massive at the time

Yes, UDL: That on the fly trade IMO, took us to late in the third period of the 7th game of the 94 finals. Soooo close.
What Burke did was through the draft and IMO, many years later, took us to game 7 of the same in 2011.
Very different.
What's the point?
There is none, except we don't have a cup and we need one. Badly!
Still think all things considered, We have been a better franchise than Buffalo.
They aint got one either.

- Stojaniv for Naslund
- Butcher, Quinn for Momesso, Ronning, Courtnall

Yeah Paddy had some good ones

Burke had some good ones - Jovanovski trade, Sedin trade, Salo trade

Ah yes, that is true - dumping a sitting-out malcontent for the most underrated player of the WCE and Sedins era.

Jovo is a tougher one, because he was the centerpiece of trading away Bure. I was never the hugest Jovo fan, but I had totally forgotten until scrolling through his wikipedia page that he had 7 goals in 14 playoff games vs. the Blues and Wild in 02/03. I suppose that trade was about as good as we could have hoped for in a shitty situation with Bure.

2nd round pick for Lumme was a good trade, too. Also Quinn.

Nedved for Janney which turned out to be Jeff Brown, Bret Hedican, and Nathan "ding the goal post" Lafayette.

Mogilny for Morrison and Pederson. Morrison turned out to be the defensive centre for the WCE line.
