I had to stop watching after the gumballs ended, as it started to turn into some white power thing... :/

I did a quick search for the gumball video (which I had seen in the past) and found a version of it on youtube ... not knowing that was added to it. However, it is not wrong to suggest that racial genocide is occurring when in fact it is. To call it white power when the white race is dying off seems ironic. Advocates of multiculturalism promote diversity. But isn't the eventual conclusion no diversity at all?

I'm a small business owner. I create jobs, though I admit not many yet... I'm no Trump.

He's not afraid of the corporations and top 1% who will continue to profit from the work of the many and slowly erode the middle class.

Nope, I want the middle class to prosper. All of the corporations aren't bad and neither are all of the 1% bad. But no doubt many are.

It's much easier to buy into a simple solution explained with gumballs than to do some critical thinking, some research and then apply some common sense.

I believe communicating simple ideas is effective and can reach more people. Are you suggesting the gumball video is wrong? How so? Is the common sense escaping you?

As for the gumball video, I agreed with you that it told a story, a true story even, but it just seemed to be a simple story. To me, the message was "We can't help them all, so let's not pretend we're helping when so many more are still suffering (and they should all stay where they are and we'll help them there)".

The world is far too complex and interconnected to look for simple solutions, and that has led to the current situation of having an ignorant bully in the White House. When people only see the world in black and white, and without nuance, they can't grow their world view. I have so much more to learn, but I know that I will not be expanding my knowledge by having some adult explain world poverty with gumballs.
