Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've been a centre ice subscriber for years but it's the first in which I have struggled to watch. Doesn't help that I don't watch live due to the time difference. I find myself skipping through the games to simply see the goals. I've maybe watched 5 games from start to finish. Not much to get excited about this year. Maybe in a couple of years the entertainment value will be better when the likes of Boeser are playing and hopefully a few more pieces have been added.

If I could get a 3rd or even a 4th pick for Cole Cassels, I'd take it.
If I could get a 2nd for Jake Virtanen, I'd take it.

Cassels has 7 points in 39 games.
Virtanen has 9 points in 37 games.

This is not development. This is a signal to just move on.

All this crap about Virtanen working on the defensive side of his game? I don't buy it for a second.
It's just bologna to keep the masses quiet.

It was hoped he would be a decent scorer, that plays with an edge.
9 points is not that. What it is, is a joke.

Lol what's trolling ? Virtanen might fetch a 3rd at this point. Glassels maybe a 5th. You may as well hang onto them and try and hope like hell to make decent third or fourth liners out of them. Selling low would be stupid unless they are cancers on the Comets.

Listen Bubbles, the Virtanen thing is starting to remind me of ole Jimmy Sandlak, the former 4th overall pick, so much was expected out of him and just never panned out. I hate to slag ole Sandlak cause I liked the guy, could shoot, could hit etc., but never reached his potential. The story with ole Sandlak was that he apparently could have been one of the most feared fighters in the game but he apparently really struggled emotionally from hitting people, but when you poked the bear, look out. Sandlak isn't the flake that Jake is though, that's my biggest concern with Jake, the moment he was drafted it went right to his head, instant superstar NHL'er, won't have to work hard for it, loves the social scene, but not necessarily a Kassian substance abuser, just a bit too casual, extremely naive, enjoys the attention, but not so much the work required to be a player. I'm really not sure what to make of where Jake's career will go, it's pretty much 50/50 but you can only make up excuses for so long for him, eventually it's put up or shut up for him, which is right about now.

Cassels struggles is not for a lack of effort, it's his skating and lack of strength to make up for his skating is and will always be his Achilles heal. Put Cassels head and heart into Virtanen and you have a player.

So what's the deal with this Brett McKenzie kid we drafted him in the 7th round of the 2016 draft? 26 goals, 31 assists in the OHL. 19th overall in scoring, scored 2 goals last night. Good size 6'-1" 200 lb centre. There must be a glaring weakness to his game, cause he's putting up good numbers for a 19 year old in the OHL and has good size.

Also, are we not going to sign this Neil kid in the QMJHL? He's putting up crazy numbers. Probably a career minor leaguer but Utica needs all the help they can get, he's the 2nd highest scoring D-man in the Q only 3 points back of Samuel Girard. Good size 6-1" 200 lbs

Big Eerie centre - Kyle Petit is also putting up good numbers this year, I hear nothing on whether we are going to stick with this kid

Curious about Tate Olson.

Might see a lot of Utica additions are Neill, Petit and Olson are heading straight to the ECHL.

Having a nice year. He'll be 20 in 2 weeks. He's 14 months older than Juolevi.

One bonus of drafting over-agers: he can play in the minors next season.

Gaudette is just slaying it the way Bubbles Macuzzi slays beers on a saturday afternnoon at the Arms Pub. Scored 1 goal and 2 assists in a 3-0 win last night, the kid is in Beast Mode. Ole Button was drooling over him again yesterday, he has him ranked 39th on his new Top 50 Prospects list along with Boeser, Juolevi and Demko. Of course Jake the Fucking Flake nowhere to be seen on that list, even ole Button can't bring himself to even want to talk about Jake.

What's with Brisebios 5 assists last night? Is this kid Beast Mode or what?

Didn't Button have Jake like 42nd or something in his draft year?

His family/parents are all athletes, he was guided by Tony Amonte from Thayer Academy to the USHL to college ranks.

I think Gaudette can go pro quicker than Boeser, like next year in the AHL in Utica for a full season, get him prepped to step in when the Sedins might retire in the summer of 2018.

This "kid", will be 21 in October. These days, it's not a stretch to think, if we sign him, he wouldn't get a legit look in camp. At the beginning of this year, he was listed at 185 lbs. At 6.1, Tanev's weight and size, another 5 to 10 added correctly, who knows.
It's just the kind luck we could use.

Gaudette ranks 40th on Button's top-50.

Nice to have some decent prospects in the pile, although having Rasmus Asplund as well (34th - Gudbranson trade) would be sweet.

Arizona has 3 of the top-20 (including 2 of the top-5 - Keller & Strome).

Not a single Toronto Maple Leaf in the top-50 (guess they're all in the NHL).
