Its one more than we have 8-)
 so true
Not sure about the "we" though...you come across more like a "they"
im very much in the we I just find it fascinating that fans of this team know that team salary cap situations draft leaves in hockey pools and proclaim hate not mentioning any names but But doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who protests their hatred for the blue and white a little too much to know the inner workings of a franchise they hate....

Yeah Mitch Marner, JVR, Nylander are complete crap...
Lol. Mitch "Boothy" Marner...charging with his head down to the net Every.Single.Time. Maybe he can bring his 4 assist scoring prowess from the preseason and not score for you guys again a little more
Or JVR! Hahahaha...isnt he Mr October for the Leaves just like Brian Savage?
Or Michael Nylanders daughter??? Lol
If you need air...call it in

So Matthews got 4 goals in the 1st NHL game - big deal.

There have been 2 guys that have got 5 goals in their NHL debut - and they both happened the same day!

Of course, it was a few years ago - like say 99 of them. Nov 26, 1917.

There was another big debut that day - the NHL - guys really weren't rookies, they previously played in the NHA, but they helped get the newly formed NHL off to a great start....

I could actually hear Auston thinking:

"Shit even if I score 4 goals per game it's not going to be enough to win with this squad!

... and I know I'm not going to score 4 goals per game

How long til I'm a free agent?... fucking rigged lottery system, fucking Leaves!"

:mex:

I wonder if Mr Andersen has figured out his sv% is gonna plummet this year.

Doug MacLean is right, teams need to play the Leaves physically and key on Matthews line.

Create havoc in the Leaves' crease, hit their young dee hard.

Mostly a no-hitter tonight but there were 3 or 4 really good hits, like this one:

Tuna won't be back on tonight, to bust going to 30-40 other sites telling everyone I told you so.

Good thing about hockey is that 1 player does not make team, Laughs still suck and we can watch TO implode again come spring.

Even Doc will admit Matthews had a debut for the ages. He's not that stupid. He's trolling Leaf goofs like Tuna.

Only player in NHL history to record 4 goals in his first game... Fabian Brunstrom? LOL.

I don't get the inferiority complex. The leaves are a shit franchise that has been shit a lot longer than the Canucks have been in existence. Matthews doesn't change that. They have a great rookie, and it's going to take some time for him to (maybe) turn that ship around.

I wish the the Canucks had a young player like him right now, but we'll get ours eventually.

Yup. On pace for 328 goals, and missing the playoffs. There is no "team" in "leaves".
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Canuck hockey is in for a world of hurt for the foreseeable future. Welcome to the next decade of McDavid Oilers, Matthews leaves, Gaudreau Flames and Laine, Scheiffle, Connor Jets. We will be the least exciting Canadian hockey team for the next 10 or so years playing games in a building that is no longer hip and the local fans are losing interest in supporting the product. When Edmonton becomes a more desirable place to play for players than Vancouver, you know it's bad. The dark days are upon us. Batten down the hatches. Load up on the anti-depressants.

I've never said anything negative about Matthews.

But even with "a debut for the ages" it's wasn't enough.

The kid caught the Sens with their pants down.

Opposing teams will key on Matthews moving forward....

Agreed Doc, that is what I thought.

Other teams will start hitting and let's see what happens in game 50.

That second goal that everyone was raving about was a comedy of pond hokey errors by the Sens.......the the phenom takes the fall for cheating allowing the OT winner.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

:hmmm:

Do we actually need to go over the list of great players that never won a cup?

Drama llama.

As far as pond hockey goes, yeah - it was typical new season bad hockey from the Sens. Still, I'll give the kid credit for pursuing the puck and making it happen, all with the pressure of his first NHL game in the fishbowl. But at least he finished the game like a life long Leave. :D
