What do I give a shit about a fan paying off three wrecked chipped out turbo F350's with 8" lifts, 37" tires, sled decks and a turbo charged Polaris 800.
lol too true.

Funny that ticket sales haven't seemed to have waned a bit. I guess all that oil money has the folks in Northern Alberta not giving two shits about how they waste their cash.

There is no quick fix, and nothing available via trade that isn't a lateral move. Everything that comes in creates a hole somewhere else. LMAO!

If he can trade a winger, for a REAL center, it is NOT a lateral move. A strong center makes his wingers better, a winger like Hall, Yak, and Eberle, does NOT.

Ok, the best quote yet......

When we signed Horc (Horcoff) to his contract he said, "No way was he taking any less money than the Sedins were making."

Ok.....so if I'm the GM, I'm looking like an ass-hat for giving him that. The Sedins went on to win Art Ross trophies and a Hart, they were among the top scoring forwards in the league from 2006-2012.

Enter 2014-2015.....

Henrik Sedin 866 points in 1030 games. A career plus-208.
Shawn Horcoff 476 points in 899 games. A career minus-37.

Any questions as to why the Oilers are in the toilet were just answered.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Here is the full presser with the Q and A if anyone wants to spen 30 minutes of their life listening, I did!

Bottom line to me is that FA are hard to attract and trades will only bring back more of the same so MacT doesn't feel like he has much of a choice but to stay the course. He did say several times that they would move players out, eventually, not right now, as that wouldn't make them any better today. So my read is that they are going to continue down this road with what they have until they get more growth and the players on the farm are ready. Then they will contemplate moving players to change the culture/core.

Telling, he said those types of moves you make when you are in a position to compete for the playoffs, not when you are clearly out of it. My as well let the players continue to develop and grow rather than give up on them since all you will get back is more of the same. Obviously hard to get players to waive NTC to go to Edmonton so trades are tough. Tried to get a second line centre and couldn't attract FA and couldn't get one via trade.

Wants to continue to draft and develop. I think he is waiting for the lights to go on and perhaps wake up one day and have a team full of NHL players. Laughed when he used the twins as an example of having to be patient. He forgot that little thing called a team surrounding them during their growth years.

Any way, no story here folks, move along.

Personally, I don't hate them like I do the laffs. However, their incompetence is most amusing.

Speaking of prisons, shouldn't Mac T be in one right now? :drink:

He was taking a lot of flak for his refusal, over the last two weeks or so, to speak to the media. Somehow I think he was made to do that presser. It had no real purpose other than showing up to face the media. What is painfully obvious is that he feels he has no choice but to continue he down the same path. He doesn't like the return he has been offered for any of his kiddie core so he does nothing.

But there is hope. Another top 1-4 draft pick will go along way to restocking the cupboards.

He is now experiencing manslaughter first hand, visually.

Keith Ballard blows out Corey Perry's left leg with one of his monster hip checks. Of course he had to fight afterward. Perry left the game, with assistance. Other than not being able to put any weight on his left leg no word yet as to the extent of the injury.

Looks like a clip to me. I'm thinking Ballard gets a call from the league on this one.

Ballard lowered his body and hit at the knees of Perry.

Freeze at 0.26sec of the video

I wonder what Kesler thought of going to Perry's defence?

No way, looks to be above the knees, his hip basically hits Perry around the belt buckle. (if he was wearing one)

If Franson is from Brandon Manitoba and not Sicamous BC, are we still talking about him with such admiration?
