Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
I’m thinking they’re drafting Malhotra and the Ruck twins and hiring Willie D as Manny’s assistant coach. Dang, just missed one of the Ruck twins by 2 picks. Actually, I think hiring a guy like Wilie D to help Manny would be a great move as Manny is green as Head Coach at the NHL lvl. I think getti ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
He's a great physical specimen, but his pt production is a bit of a concern. I'd be more comfortable considering him in later 2nd round or 3rd round.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 8:48 pm For sure. I would be pleased to get him with our 24 pick, but he seems to be a possible late climber.

Re: Drafting the Ruck twins - yea/nay?
lxzKhVykvJs I'd take them, what's there not to like? - BC boys who luved the Nucks and Sedins when they were growing up. - Their coach is none other than Willie D. - They have a teammate in Jonas Woo. Yes, younger bro of Jet. - Both tore up the WHL, over 100 pt players as draft elgibile players. If ...

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
Canes had an unbelievable run, and completely deserved this Cup. Their approach is simple -- give the opponent no time to make a decision, whether with or without the puck. A style that comes from the Quenneville tree. If your team has speed and a high motor (which takes some depth), this is both ...

Brian Burke to the Hall of Fame. Congratz to Burkie! He was great, but his downfall here. 1) His faith in Clouts39 2) Failing to find a true #1 centre for the WCE. No offence to BMo7, but he was really a #2. He did have Hank33 coming, but the Sedins were green and they took kinda long to take their ...

For sure Snooz. Will do. Thnx man. :) Tell Blobby I say to lay off the sauce and pizza dips, and tell Chef to quit snorting drywall dust with Rosie. Tell them to get a VPN and slide back in as socks (But this time behave!) *LOL* Doc used to do it back in the day. There must be a way. :P We ...

There's no value to me in that unless the Mods decide to let Chef and Blob back on the board. Absolutely it would be the obvious next move for the chat board. It's how Doc would have wanted it... To honor his legacy Yah, I always liked Blobby Mac & Chef and enjoyed reading their posts. I hope ...

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Canes did it with a bunch of shrimps. I gotta give credit where credit is due. Their top scorer, Aho was kinda meh all playoffs (almost EP40 like), but it didn't matter, they find a way to win anyways. A total team effort. I always liked Brind'amour, so happy ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
Yah, those are the type of guys the Nucks should target. Guys who had a bad yr and/or are a little older, but they have a good chance to rebound, so we can flip them for picks @ TDD.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
Troy from Richmond is saying he loved the direction the Canucks are moving, and would totally come back and play here! I am super excited he is trolling for a job!!!! Stecher is ok. He is a smart player, great pro and battles hard, but he was always too small for my liking. The only reason that I ...

Claude Lemeaux passes away at age 60. So sad for Lemieux22. He was a clutch performer in the playoffs and one of my faves back in the day. When I think of C.Lemieux, I can't help but to think of Blobby Mac here telling us how Claude rag dolled Trev16 and made him piss in his pants. I saw an ...

Re: What We've Got (Looking Ahead With Current Contracts)
Sasson ($1M x 2 years): Cheap, can take a regular shift in the bottom-6. Skates fast enough, but if you find someone almost as fast an twice as physical, make that move. Just had to say, I think Mad Max Sassons is a keeper though. He has great wheels and he's pretty good @ finding the 5-hole when ...
