Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Is no one else chapped about the league decision on Ottawa and their draft pick? Is it not fair to say that every team in the league has been operating for some time under the presumption that their pick will be one better than where they finished in the standings and arguably could have been ...

Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?
The NHL is dead to me, the Canucks have ruined it. I still watch the playoffs. Love them. Family member is a big Jets fan so they are sort of the second team in the house, but they aren’t making it. I usually choose a team to pull for in each series, based on friendly family pre-playoff bracket. ...

Wonder if they had zero offers for Kane. Given what was moved, surprising…
WRT Blueger, wouldn’t surprise me if resigning might be a possibility there. As the steady vet. Because how does a team choose Kampf….

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26
Then Armstrong gets a first and a third (also eating Holl I think) for Faulk. Wait for the suckers and get 2 1sts today. And still have your most valuable trade assets for the draft.
How it is done.
How it is done.

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26
A 1st and 3d and prospect for Schenn? Blues are hilarious. They’ve been teasing everyone, but firm with what they want. That’s the thing, isn’t it? You only need one team to overvalue a player….. (I don’t know yet if there’s salary retention, but I assume so and assume the prospect is not notable).

Re: Who gets traded next?
Signing Garland at 6x6 starting at 30 yo with move protection was not a particularly team friendly deal. Maybe he gets a little more in free agency — that’s the risk premium on getting injured in the season before or a performance decline (which we’ve seen the past couple months. I quite appreciate t ...

Re: 2026 Pre-TDL Thread
I believe after todays deal they have about a half mill in cap space currently so would have to do some shifting about for more moves (doable)...some scuttlebutt has them in the Binnington hunt. Lol. Sarcasm befits you UW. Joking aside, this deal shows the difference between dealing from strength ...

Re: 2026 Pre-TDL Thread
Yeah, I wouldn't write off the Oil. As long as they have McD they will find a way. I'd still like to do something on D and G by deadline if I were them, but as long as they make it in, they still have as good a shot as anybody. And now that they have Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach, unstoppable ...

Re: Who gets traded next?
If this Myers trade gies through as reported, it is not a bad return. I am please ownership is willing to pay (salary retention) to get a little more of a return, though they can only retain on 3 and may need it for others. I am also happy for Myers to be going to Dallas and not Detroit (who I ...

Re: Who gets traded next?
If the Canucks do trade him be prepared for a 5 - 7 round pick coming back. Is the Canuck management prepared for the public fallout of habit that return? Surely the optics of not trading him at all is worse. I would let him ride out the season rather than move him for anything lower than a 4th ...
