Think this is the last home game before a tough 6 game road trip. I could be on deck here for quite a while.

The Canucks’ first two wins have been directly related to an awesome Elias Pettersson hit.

7-5 Canucks
10 Pettersson hits (combined)

It will be interesting to see how we react to a 'real' team tonight. (edm didn't count due to goaltending, as usual).

Lots of positives* from the squad already:

Sticking up for each other ✔️
Playing 60 minutes ✔️
Protecting the goalie ✔️
Ability to score ✔️
EP40 looking engaged ✔️
Schenn ✔️✔️

So far, I'm liking the composition of this team, and there should be enough fight in them to make most nights entertaining (although I did switch off midway through the 2nd edm game, but went back to see our new goalie).

*small sample size

Having Tankinen in tonight will get your streak going! :D

Hmmmm. Playing 60 minutes?? Everything else agree with but not that one. If they were playing 60 minutes they would be 3-0 without the worst GA in the league.

As for tonights game, yep, a test against a contender.

I wonder what happened to him. He was phenomenal his first year

Even blind squirrels find nuts.

Outside of the one year of success in Vancouver (25-15-10 2.62 GAA .902 save %) after which JR gifted him the 5 years total value 22.5 million for no reason I can decipher, his career GAA is 3.18, his W/L record 56 - 70 - 10 and his save % .8998 (based on years played not 82 games...and not including this years stats which are horrific)...

....so one year anomaly otherwise a career back up at best.

Once again keeping DeSmith and mentoring Silovs was the far better choice and was also readily apparent to all excepting those fucking guys.

Yeah - I might have had my rose-coloured glasses on for that one... but while they've had a couple of bad periods, I didn't see the complete "I give up" from the last year or two.

Would agree. The effort has been there, even if the execution was off.
