A priest, a rabbi, and a clergyman walk into a bar

I've been pondering starting a thread for sharing fave comedy sets for a while. Not saying that the 18 of you aren't funny enough already but there's some good stuff out there. I like what Seinfeld says about the perfect joke on Comedians in Cars getting Coffee. Choosing the right words and pauses, paring it down to the essentials, funny on multiple levels. There's a Holocaust joke Bob Einstein tells him that I should try to find. That's the kind of stuff that gets me. I also appreciate the comedians who do a lot of crowdwork in their sets. Jeff Arcuri comes to mind.

If a thread like this already exists then Mods you know what to do.

I only ask that we avoid comedy of a political nature. Though I love Jon Stewart and John Oliver as much as anyone we have a thread for that already. This thread is just for the laughs.

I'll kick this off with a set from Des Bishop. He's also got a series of interesting videos about his time in China where he gets some of his material.

Can’t recall if it was here at the corner or back at central but I had a joke thread that had some success and longevity but did need constant refueling… a lot of posters helped as they got into it but it took steady fodder….

Don't know about here but u definitely had 1 at Central rats...

...this is a good idea 5th....hopefully it gains some traction.

Also I don't recall Einstein telling a Holocaust joke to Seinfeld, but I do recall Jerry and Gervais discussing it.

Einstein told Seinfeld a pretty raunchy first night married joke on Curb however.

Right you are it was Gervais. I'll have to look up that Einstein joke now.

I've been driving all day just arrived home.

Is that the one with the liver in the sink? Didn't do it for me.

That's the one.....agreed...I didn't say it was a good joke...just that it was raunchy.

Pretty much anything by Norm MacDonald gets me going.

"Norm MacDonald: Now do you think Cosby's legacy will be hurt?
Jerry Seinfeld - Host: Yeah.
Norm MacDonald: You do, huh? I mean, there's a comedian, Patton Oswalt, he told me, "I think the worst part of the Cosby thing was the hypocrisy." And I disagreed.
Jerry Seinfeld - Host: You disagreed with that?
Norm MacDonald: Yeah, I thought it was the raping.
"

It definitely benefits from Norm's delivery.

It's actually quite funny in that he's telling it to Jerry Seinfeld.

Fair point...and Larry Davids disgust and impatience the entire time....
