No joke - tonight we see the top and bottom of the league face off in an epic matchup!
Canucks goal diff : -90
Avs goal diff : +92
But you know who has the better power play?

Yeah, that's right - the Canucks! 19.7% vs the Avs lowly 18.1%
A loss tonight should cement our last-overall-best-lottery-odds spot. Go Team.
Should be a close one tonight - blacked out for me, as usual.

Imagine how disappointing the season would be for our "1C" if it weren't for his guaranteed spot on the PP which is allowing him to score 41% of his points with the man-advantage. 19 out of 46pts total.
Mackinnon, who is only scoring 24% of this points from the PP, which is 29 out of 120pts(!)
Clearly, there are players consistently driving the bus and those who have benefited greatly as passengers while being protected in their booster seats. Point totals alone never tell the entire story.
Tonight is where you become the King of losses, Corn. But don't count your chickens yet. One win and Megs or Don can go streaking to reclaim this title and win the season

Nope - I don't count on ANYthing with this team!

(But I think I have the longest streak of regular-time losses)

So I have that going for me.

While I am usually the last one to put up any defense of Scooter.....
Perspective considers that McDavid has scored 38% of his points on the PP this year. Obviously the difference is that McDavid has 125 points to Pettersson's 46.

Avs 10-2.
Foote goes into net in 3rd period after Avs chase Lankinen, Tolo and the zamboni guy.

That's not my point Mëds. ALL top line players get their PP time and that's where they make a lot of their hay, so to speak.
My point is that he's getting results with the man-advantage only. For the "best" player on the team, much more is expected. McDavid and Mackinnon are just two examples... and I'm not even trying to compare them to Scooter. They are clearly in different leagues over most.
I'm talking about the main guy being a consistent offensive leader. A play-driver.
I've always maintained that he's been protected by the real offensive drivers and tough match-ups by JTM, Hughes and Bo. Even with the 100pt season, was a secondary.
Those two guys ran the PP, making BumperBo a 30g scorer for the first time in his career. EP was the one on the half-boards waiting for clappers. He's not there running it like Naslund or Henrik.
Top guys make others better. Ie. BumperBo, 40g+ Brock
Since he's been the "man", his best production has dropped by more than half. He needs better wingers? He needs to make better wingers. Aside from the PP, the other centers have produced at almost the same or better rate. That is bad no matter the adjustments to data.
I don't subscribe to needing a "1C" to immediately replace him either. This (should be) is a rebuilding team for at least another 3-5 years, so it's got time to be mediocre still. What you don't have time for is vets with some value, especially those still in their 20s, to not be moved for more bullets.

You and I are on the same page Carl.
He's not playing like a 1C right now, so why the need to replace him with a 1C if the move is to move him out.....

I’d be ok if we win out the season. Like to see the younger guys have a good finish. Like to see who of the vets gives a shit.

Agree, 32nd has been virtually locked up.
