Seems like they've run out of time, into injuries and a hot Blues team - playoff margins are looking a bit dire.

Hopefully a marginally healthy Demko can be the tonic they need... and the Blues - Flame out. Hope and a prayer time!

Yep - we're very close to 'playing for pride'.... BUT.... not mathematically out of it just yet!

I keep looking at those 12 loser points - be a little different if we had only won 1/2 of those. But here we are.

I want to win but at the same time I want a good draft pick. RD showed some good centers available when we could pick but then I don’t trust management not to trade the pick for some over 26 center instead.

Man it’s hard being a Canuck fan.

How many outhouse centres will be playing top six next season? The season after that? The next? We need help now.

Considering all the injuries, slumps and other "adversities", they were doing good to be in the mix as long as they were.

What are you willing to send? Do you want to mortgage the future again for short term gain? Of course if a good deal comes along they make it but no more fucking #3 centres or reclamation projects. This team is a dumpster dive and trading out will be hard to do, for once be patient and see what happens. Maybe better UFA next season or they do over pay in the off season.


Just stop selling the future it hasn’t worked for 10 years and it won’t start now.

There is potential for a solid as fuck "I can't drive 55" or "Missing Elite" style post and conversation thread vis a vis the potential to move Hughes for the long term greater good.

If they don't figure out a way to get a legit top center this summer and the team starts out next season with more of the same, then the move Hughes for the long term greater good conversations should start.
