A sloppy Canucks pp closes out a well played first period scoreless.

Some notes:

Klimovich is making some glaring mental mistakes early

Good sustained pressure on an early Canucks pp - no luck

Florian Xheckaj has 20 goals and leads the AHL in PIMs. Ex Canucks enforcer Vincent Arsenault is on his wing.

Klimovich to the box for hand on puck. Canucks kill.

Silovs with a clutch save and Di Giuseppe is in on Cayden Primeau but misses wide.

The play is stopped for several minutes for a medical emergency on the Lasval bench. Noel Hoefenmeyer seems to be in some distress. He had been hit by Nielsen on his last shift.

Klimovich misses on an in tight chance on Primeau.

Second period:

Silovs kicks out a shot and Laurent Dauphin blasts the rebound into the top shelf. 1-0 Laval in the first minute of the period.

Silovs is keeping Abby in it early.

Kudryavtsev hits the post from the blueline.

Khaira blocks a point shot on the pk and draws a penalty himself with some good hustle.

Woo goes a little bananas roughing Simoneau and he heads off to the box. He seemed to be doing a bit of a pro wrestling heel routine there.

And Breezer misses an open net in the final minute of the period.

The score after two periods - Laval one, Abbotsford no score.

Third period:

Mueller has a great scoring chance but is foiled by Primeau

Florian Xhekaj scores on the Laval pp to make it 2-0 Rocket. That's the rookie's 21st goal.

KLimovich goes hard to the net, and the puck trickles through Primeau. That's a team leading 23 goals for Danila.. 2-1

Mueller sets up Blais and he backhands it by Primeau's blocker. 2-2

Abby is making a late push now. Primeau with big stops on Khaira and DiGiuseppe.
