Markstrom 15 saves on 24 shots, 9 goals against, 0.625 Sv%

There's gotta be some great post game interviews on this one.
Was just coming here to mention it, it hadn’t occurred to me Roy watched this spectacle with his own eyes - I saw Markstrom and Keefe’s postgame comments, now I have to go find Patty’s

Edit: they must have been scared to ask
LMFAO!!!

Patrick Roy (post game when asked about his team’s breakouts): “I thought we could have been a bit better, but at the end of the day we found a way to win a game.”

9-0 slaughter…..found a way to win.

I linked it in the out of town scores thread as Olivier 1 Reaves 0.

I even included a Score link just for you due to being sans socialz.

I used the Score link. It took me to X (Twitter) to watch the clip.

Briere rolled the dice on the kid, likely betting that the kid really did need a blank slate in a new place. Looks like the trade also served as a moment of clarity for Zegras to round out his game and grow up as a player. Tocchy no doubt told him this is his last chance to have a career as a star and not a "what could have been" kind of drifter. Couturier doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who is going to tolerate anybody not getting with the program and messing the chemistry in the room.

Maybe it would have happened somewhere else. I'm not sure the dressing room in Vancouver was in a state to take on Zegras' baggage, though I have little doubt that Foote would have done a similar-caliber job as Tocchet with him.

Even so, I don't think adding Zegras would have changed Hughes' mind on extending in Vancouver. In that event, how would Zegras have fit within the ongoing rebuild/retool/hybrid-whatever-the-fuck-it-is? Just seems like a good-looking part that just doesn't fit with where the team is at now.

I love it when one person does something that encapsulates everything that is wrong with the human race.

lol. Now this is teamwork.

Also a bit concerning regarding Team Canada.
After the Blackhawks scored their 7th of the game, Jim Montgomery tried to pull Jordan Binnington for Joel Hofer...

But Binnington appeared to refuse to come off the ice, and Hofer was hiding down the tunnel to the Blues' locker room?

I can only imagine the exchange between Montgomery and his goalies after the game.
