How's your buddies - Michael Dal Colle, Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart doing?
Was never a Dal Colle fan but please continue making shit up . The Sams are playing better now .... certainly better than the Fake. I hope Jake makes it as a top six guy but I have a feeling he might top out as a Jannik Hansen type.
2nd overall - Reinhart - 5 goals 5 assists
4th overall - Bennett = 3 goals 6 assists
5th overall - Dal Colle - where is he?
6th overall - Jake - 3 goals 3 assists

Jake has had nowhere near the luxury of ice time, PP, line-mates that Reinhart and Bennett have had

Merkley - a 5'10" 185 lb assist man, a centre on a stacked Kelowna team. Can't score goals on a stacked team, he's the new Zach Hamil bust. Do not want

Sprong is the next Nicklas Jensen. Do Not Want

I like Zboril too, good size and gritty. Why no like Chabot? I think he and Zboril will be gone by 23. I do believe that D-men Roy and Carlo will be there at 23 but do not want either

I'm leaning towards OlePaddys boy - Brock Boeser - 6'-1" 200 lb RW, or take a gamble on big RW Denis Guryanov or Czech centre Chaplik or the swede big centre - Ek Eriksson, but from reports Eriksson won't fall past 20. I don't mind Harkins, he's just a bit middle of the road for my liking, nothing he excels at, like a Manny Malhotra or something. Really wanted White but he'll be long gone

WELL WELL WELL Always fun to go back into the draft archives at canuckscorner...HMMMMM I seems to recall ME calling Brock Boeser on here before anybody on this message board had a fucking clue... While you are out here tooting the Horn of the Genius GM maybe you should refer to me as such... Afterall lets take another trip down Memory lane shall we... June 5th 2017 in the draft section while you were rambling on and on about Casey Middlestadt and 23 other D men from the BCJHL I suggested Elias Pettersson... U want me to pull it up??? Ask my good buddy Doc Strangelove we broke bread over it... U want me to pull up Virtanen I did that one in 14... In 2016 I seem to recall before the lotto balls falling telling u my love for Laine... U were all over Puljujarvi telling me that Laine was too much like Bure and Deon Sanders u actually said that I gonna find that quote... ITS HERE I'll FIND IT

Anyways after the Lotto balls fell I was all over Walt Jr it was the fit the GM took Oli... So who is the genius??? Is it the Gm u praise and u tell all of us we never seen it coning??? or the poster who sees it and calls it documented on this site for the worlld to see 14 I called Virtanen well b4 the draft 15 I called Boeser well b4 draft 16 I called Tkachuk and this past yr i called Elias well B4...

From this point going forward Pacific Blue I wish that u refer to me as Genius Ol Paddy.... 8-)

So the IOC today announced that Russia cannot participate in the upcoming Winter Olympics. Athletes can compete but not under the Russian flag and Russia cannot ice a hockey team.

I guess the dream of going home to play for Mother Russia has been somewhat stalled for players like Trymakin.

Being reported today that Trymakin's coach has said Trymakin talks quit a bit about wanting to take another shot at the NHL when he is ready. Really wants to make that transition.

Jake has had nowhere near the luxury of ice time, PP, line-mates that Reinhart and Bennett have had
& Green suggests Virtanen's best years probably will be when he's around 23-24, typically when young dudes start to get their natural man strength, prime years for forwards.
SR, Bennett all could get better in time as well, they'd be great buy-low options, just as other teams fans see JV, a superb buy-low option as there is later bloomers every year.

JV will have some good centermen in the future here as well with Pettersson, Gaudette and Lind all developing their craft currently.

in other news -
Rick Dhaliwal‏:

I asked Volkov if Tryamkin will ever return to Vancouver,

"He talks about it, he wants to go back someday.

He will give it 1 more shot when he's ready."
 I hope it's next season he'll come back, all he wants is big minutes so everybody on the team has to recognize his potential and understand that because of that, Tryamkin will be given way more opportunity to get those top4 minutes right off the bat. & at least Goldy will be here to have another Russian on the squad, maybe the team should sign ufa Emelin to help with the transition to be much more successful than last year, plus it's how the Capitals keep all their Russian's happy & not bolt, is to just have a bunch of Russians ha.

Pettersson left the ice in the first CHL quarter final against Bern and did not play in the third period.
Coach Sam Hallam says he is day-to-day with a lower body injury. :(

I also haven't seen Jake create offense by skating really fast down the wing, circling behind the net, then falling down in the opposite corner and causing a turnover the other way... repeatedly.
