Where do the legends like Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar fit into your top 5s?

Just for fun....
Chamberlain holds over 70 NBA records.
A season with 50p / 25r averge (before the 3 point line)
115 50-point games (Jordan is 2nd with 31)
32 60-point games (Kobe is 2nd with 6)
All-time rebound leader (23,000+)
only center to ever lead the league in total assists
recorded the only "20-20-20" game in NBA history (22 points, 25 rebounds, and 21 assists)
record for most points in a season (4029) - Jordan is 2nd with (3041)
averaged over 40 minutes per game over a 14-year career and never fouled out

Yeah...Chamberlain was a great, Hall of Fame level, dominating player.
He deserves top level recognition and the overall claim he is limited in stature due to competition levels is arguable to the contrary (he played versus Russell and Abdul-Jabbar for instance)....
He is, however, hampered by that as is a guy like Beliveau in hockey.
Were there enough interest here to debate basketball a top 15 of all time could create a more intriguing conversation dynamic than top 5.
Chamberlain does win the Cuz award hands down in terms of NBA players however.

One thing Bird was famous for was telling the D what he was going to do.....
"....crossover twice, between the legs, 180 spin from 12 off the glass and 2..."
...and then doing it.
In the mid '80's he told the Trail Blazers players he was going to play the entire game left handed only and then did so for most of the night (I believe the story goes he used his right in the 4th quarter a couple of times after letting them know he would be doing so) and dropped 47 14 and 11 on them.
His reason.
He was saving his right hand for Magic and the Lakers next game.
Larry fucking Bird.
So cold.

fucking hate Duke, great to see.
Go Arizona, Tommy Lloyd was longtime Gonzaga assistant, was given a contract to be the Zags head coach whenever Mark Few retired, but decided not to wait that long ... Few is still coaching...

Agree. It is the one sport where watching at a level below adds to the entertainment value because the teams seem so affected by the flow of the game.
NBA is great for individual freakish athleticism, but it always feels like a “product” to me.

Yeah, the physics and mathematics of the pole vault are daunting.
It really looks impossible. And I'm sure it would be - for me.
