Thanks again Meg - how would your rate the season? Between callups, expectations, etc - is this about what you thought would happen?

Are they done for the season now?

Thanks to everyone for participating in the Abby forum again this year. For the youngest team in the AHL I think you would have to consider it a good season. Throw in Silovs and Tolopilo for the playoffs and they might well still be playing. The best hopes for cracking the lineup are probably up front and in goal. Podkolzin, Sasson, Karlsson, Bains, and Raty all look promising right now with one or both of Pods and Raty likely to crack the lineup full time next year. Silovs everyone has seen, but Tolopilo is a 6'6" monster who probably outplayed him this year and is a very interesting goalie prospect in his own right. On the blueline you have callup material like Cicek, McWard, Hirose and Johansson. Tough luck for veteran Brisebois who made the team out of training camp in his seventh pro season only to miss almost the whole year with concussion problems.

Anyway, good times again as always.

Sure. I believe so Cuz. I was surprised he didn't get in yesterday. I mean, it's not as if Glover and Zlodeev are crucial to the cause or anything.

I was reading somewhere that KHL teams were interested in bringing Danila Klimovich over to play in Russia. I wouldn't bet against it since he barely played this year and continued to look in over his head when he did play.



*forgot to mention Jett Woo among the prospects in Abby this year. He was the best defenseman in Abby this season and should compete for a spot in Vancouver next year if completely healthy.

So possible Podz, Raty - and maybe Bains to MAYBE fill spots next year - and Woo could finally make the jump, if there's a Juulson-like spot available?

Letterkenny being able to win a spot at camp will also be important too.

If at least 2 of those 4 can make the team and contribute in a meaningful way, that will help the cap situation a lot.

Hard pass on Bains for me...AHL level player and injury call up at best.

Pods and Raty would be good.

Lekkerimaki would be surprising to make the team next year especially considering the WC cut recently.

Another year to percolate for him.

Klimo can go home...wasted pick.

Lekk and EP2 the following year with a rising cap.

We can make all this work.
