He says he wants to help bring Timrå back to the SHL though, so bonus points for team loyalty. It's a waste of time though, because there is only one SHL spot up for grabs, and if there is any justice in this world Björklöven will win that spot!

Dahlen doesn’t seem like a real competitive guy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he never returns to North America.

He stinks just like Rodin

He has entitlement issues. Teams dont usually move talented young assets like that so early unless theres major character issues

Poor and lazy comparison. Anton Rodin had a lot of serious injuries to deal with in his career.

Rödin just had poor luck and suffered a freak injury.

In the 15/16 season he was the leading points scorer of the SHL with 37 points after 33 games, when in practice a team mate fell and somehow sliced off a tendon on the side of Rödin’s knee with his skate. Rödin’s season ended right there, but he was still voted league MVP by his peers.

The 16/17 season he played a total of six games, split evenly between Vancouver and Utica.

The 17/18 season he played a total of 19 games. 7 in Utica, 8 in Switzerland after the Canucks gave up on him, and 4 for the Swedish national team. He was plagued by injuries the whole season. Not just the knee, he also suffered a foot fracture.

The 18/19 season he played a total of 34 games in Switzerland.

This past season he finally seems to have managed to get past his injuries. He returned to Brynäs in the SHL, was named captain of the team and only missed a handful of games. His 46 points in 46 games was enough for fourth place in SHL points scoring.

At this point he’s definitely good enough for the NHL again. Not franchise or even first line material, I guess, but a good third line centre on almost any team. He’s 29 years old now though, so not sure any team would offer him a contract, but if you’re the fourth best point scorer of the SHL and captain of your team, yeah, definitely good enough to play in the NHL.

In my book he should be as good as Järnkrok and Silfverberg. They’re not superstars, but they’re decent enough players.
If he hadn’t suffered that freak injury he probably would have centred the third line on the Canucks.

Yeah, it's too bad, but we had similar players in Baercheese & Golds already. If Rodin was still around for us this past season, Greener prob would have dropped him as well. Another skilled winger, but too soft and small to fit Greener's system.
