Looks like the rot is deeper than just EP40.
Put the exit interviews in context of the guys being interviewed.

3rd liners to tweeners

only one top line player, and a couple of kids with hope

Sure, but the guys saying it - also have played for teams that included players like Crosby etc. They've seen what it takes, and obviously haven't seen it here.

Some of them have played with some other quality teams. Blueger’s remarks stand out. He won a Cup in Vegas, and he played on Crosby’s team for 5 or so years. Sid is rumoured to be a task master with comparisons drawn to Michael Jordan in terms of his expectations of himself and his teammates.

I think you can expect a lot of young players to need guidance in that area, but among the vets, who was this missing from? 2023-24 it was Miller, Hughes, and Boeser, who led the charge on showing up prepared at camp and putting in the work and attention to details in all 3-zones. They came back for the 2024-25 campaign and it was the same (though Boeser’s summer regimen had been impacted by the DVT).

Myers, Blueger, Hronek, Garland…..all names that were mentioned as being pros when it came to dedication and effort.

Miller, Hughes, Garland, and Myers, are all gone.

Who keeps the kids going? Teddy, Brock, and Hronek?

Tie that to the statement about kids not being barked at and hating coming to the rink…..other than JT who did we have that might have come across like that (he’s been gone for 18 months)?

Sounds to me like there’s a bunch of fucking mice wearing men’s skates.

Well looks like Em and Cammi are out.

Rutherford mentioned "guys" and "he" and "him" etc. as replacement for GM.

Dude gives me notice IT has him shut down 30 seconds later and he is out the door.

Dude needs to be shown the door IT shuts him down the second the decision is made and he is shown the door.

Allowing an old fart who made a fucking mess of this franchise to have any say in the next phase of (re)construction is not only asinine but also sooooooo Canuck.

AIG ringing every days work they can out of their capital investment.

Nice business model.

Losers now.

Losers forever more.

Some great posting in this thread y'all.

Dude, this here is one of the GOAT threads at CC... ever, imo. Glad you started it.

Coining and trademarking the term 'TFGs'... inspired. The one thing the loser media won't come in here to steal as theirs. TFMGs. :scowl:

Went back to the first few pages... a very auspicious start.

Also, there's so much I disagree with Raisin's attempted bullshit spins. His timelines are utter deflection and to talk about culture... it's absolutely hypocritical. Several attempts to draft up some UW-style posts just makes me want to quit this circus even more. I'm having motivational issues trying to type a rebuttal to this mgmt group's years of nonsense.

JR, you thinking about retiring? Don't think. Just fuckin' do it now and spare the fans. Peter, you've cause so many miscarriages in your "home". Just fuck off and leave so we can finally call in the hazmat team.

JR might be egotistical enough to think he has a duty to hand the reins to capable hands - oblivious to his hand in creating this mess.

Egotism must be it. Can't go down without some connective tissue to what success his successor may earn.

Just bring in Johnson, RJ can perform what mind-meld he would wish to pass on what wisdom his addled-brain can recover. Once the laying-on-of-hands is performed, they can shuffle him over to the home with the sammy-girls.

I can get behind Johnson if he has autonomy.

I’m more pro Manny than RJ, but RJ will probably hire Manny at some point, so no problem if RJ gets the job.
I think Manny will be a very good NHL coach.

How many inches of autonomy before you can get your behind for Johnson?

Sorry, man. That's all I got.
