Just Not ready

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I'm at the point that I don't care if the liberal government promises everyone a golden calf, I would still not vote for them. Way too many scandals, failed policies, government waste, etc., etc., etc. They need to go, no matter what - period.

I look at it in a different way.

If you talk Liberal scandals, then you have to also talk Conservative scandals because PP was in the Harper government during all of their scandals so PP can’t claim to have found religion and his government will be scandal free.

As for broken promises, I’ve stopped blaming politicians and started blaming the voters who don’t take the time to study issues that are important to them to learn if the promises are realistic, or just snake oil talk.

As for wasteful spending, my advice to my kids has always been to not vote party but vote the individual who they think is most capable of understanding the challenges and can best deal with them.

Canadians felt like you when they voted Harper out and voted Trudeau in, how has that worked out, and Trudeau won 2 other elections running against Sheer and then O’Toole. Sheer was a disaster of a choice and continues to live off the Canadian taxpayers (of course he is) while O’Toole has left politics.

At the time I was disappointed in the way the Party treated O’Toole who between PP and him is the much more qualified candidate, but he wasn’t right wing enough for the base.

As I’ve said, when PP was elected to be the leader of the Party I became a free agent. When the choice was between JT and PP I was sure that I’d have to sit this election out because neither should be allowed near the office of Prime minister.

With the emergence of Carney, its a whole new ballgame and we have not had someone as qualified in a very long time.

You owe it to the country to listen to how each plans on dealing with the issues that are most important to you with an open mind and then make your choice...

This is exactly how the real puppet masters want you to respond.

JT, PP, Carney, Jaguar meet....they're all puppets used to deceive you into believing you have a choice.

It's about time for the Grey's to return and chill out all this angst

Putting a couple of guys on a commercial flight is different than 110 on on a military aircraft.
Last year Biden deported 14199 to Columbia, that's 273 per week. More than a couple guys.

Now if only Columbia would send their planes to the US to pick up the deportees. Why not slap a tariff on them till they agree?

At 27+ commercial flights a day that is is not unreasonable especially if you figure in the occasional Homeland security small aircraft flight.

First, I didn’t realize you were asking me directly to comment on the Con platform. I’ll circle back to that later.

Based upon your declared support for Carney you clearly don’t subscribe to your own advice.

The Covid spending, that you so willingly gobbled up, was nothing more than hush money to buy voters silence and patience. The financial difficulties were because of decisions and emergency acts and laws that this WEF/WHO puppet government executed.

Aside from the scandals, their trampling of individual rights and freedoms, their insistence of more and more government control in people’s lives, their abuse and unlawful execution of the emergency measures act….ffs where does it end? This latest announcement of tariff relief is case in point that these guys in the LibDP need to go. All of them. It’s another round of Covid spending policies. Print money. Devalue the dollar. Expect the citizens great grandchildren to pay for it.

As you say, vote for the individual who you think is most capable…..this helps if you actually see the issues for what they are and how they were created in the first place. Carney’s resume would suggest, based upon education and professional positions he has held, that he is the best equipped for what we are facing. His track record and published views run completely contrary to that.

And the other individuals who will make up his cabinet? Well none of these lunatics in the Liberal or NDP will dare to vote against their party regardless of the issue and what their constituents want…..those that have were removed.

Well, you are free to vote anyway you want, just like everyone else. I disagree with your position, and I am definitely not voting liberal no matter who is leading the party - they have to go and most likely will be gone very shortly. I don't care how qualified Carney is, as he is very much in tune with what the liberals have been doing for the last nine years and if he gets in there will just be more of the same, no matter what he says before the election. I don't trust any politicians, no matter what party, but I especially don't trust the liberals. We all owe it to the country to make sure the liberals don't get another term - they have set this country back decades and with Carney's past anti-oil stance for example, he will set this country back even more.

On that note, I'm sure PP will do things that I don't like, but I'm willing to give him a chance to see what he does. Surely it can't be as bad as what the Trudeau regime has put Canada through.

Not since Micheal Ignatieff.

I'm still waiting for them to outline their plans.

Oh, oh, Christia is going to have a smaller cabinet and smaller PMO staff (I had no idea the current PMO staff was +100 - appalling).
