What's going on in Dallas? I've never heard of a non-hockey executive setting up a session with media to rip their own players with the backing from the owner. And the Stars are actually in the wildcard.

Yeah it’s fucked up for sure. Lites seems like a mouthpiece for Chins Gaglardi. I hate the Aquilinis but maybe Phil’s boy is as big of a turd as Frank. Wasn’t it Ryan Beedie who was also in on it with Gaglardi. He’s certainly more polished than Tom or Frank.

I remember back in the day Denis Washington and his son Kyle were also very interested in buying the Canucks. Pretty sure Bellringer and McCammon fucked that up.

There’s a reason the bruins moved on from seguin, he’s a piece of shit. Remember him and benn making gay comments about the Sedins? Dallas won’t win anything with those two guys as the center pieces. All they care about is the money and lifestyle.

It was Gags, Aqua and Beedie who were initially in on the negotiations. Aqua dropped out saying he was no longer interested but carried on secret negotiations. The trio had an exclusive negotiation window. Once Gags and Beedie refused the final offer, they didn't realize Aqua was in the picture so they signed back the final offer with a counter, their deal fell through and within 1-2 days Aqua closed on the deal. One sticking point was the final monies owed Messier. Another was Gags and Beedie wanted all of Orca Bay. Aqua accepted the Messier contract and passed on Orca Bay, until later. Thus the law suite, which Aqua won.

I remember watching a Seguin behind the scenes documentary style about him, he seemed pretty full of himself.

His best playoffs was with Boston in a depth role, I'd say he's better off as a #2 center on a true contender, but he's about to be paid almost $10M a year starting next year for 8 years.

In any case what a shitstorm in Dallas right now, Seguin and Benn probably are fucking pissed.

Gags ain’t wrong though, you’re only as good as your star players, and if your star players fold under pressure like seguin does the team is hooped. Dallas’s gm has been shit for awhile now, they can’t draft worth shit and has them sitting in mediocre land for the foreseeable future. Only bright spot is heiskanen looks like the real deal.

Benn and Sequin are highly overrated. Lites isn’t off the mark

I’d trade for Benn in a heartbeat. Kid does it all. Seguin, meh... he’s so full of himself I don’t know how anyone puts up with him.

Calling up the reporters and making this on the record is a Melnyk-worthy stunt that does nothing to improve the franchise’s reputation and is unlikely to have any impact on results, given the depth/injury issues the Stars face.
