"It appears Patrik Allvin’s time as general manager of the Vancouver Canucks has come to an end.

“Patrik Allvin fired from Vancouver,” reads a headline from Aftonbladet, one of Sweden’s major newspapers.

“On Thursday evening, local time in Canada, the owners agreed to relieve Allvin of his duties,” longtime Swedish hockey writer Tomas Ros reports."



Not confirmed in Canada yet cause I guess we are all sleeping. If true I am glad they acted as soon as the season was done. Amazing that Rutherford has survived so far. Now I guess we wait to see who replaces him. Hopefully someone who has a good drafting record and can make trades. At least the newbie shouldn't have any attachment issues with existing players.

Rough night for the Aqualungs, water damage at the steakhouse from a fire in the same building.

Hopefully they're in a foul enough mood to shitcan the geezer.

Everyday from here out that Rutherford isn't fired you have to worry that the cheap bastard might axctually bring him back.

If/when the other ass cheek is removed I was going to say I will miss the short lived "These fuckin' guys™". Then I realize we can easily shift it to refer to AIG. We keep the trademark either way. Unless they decide to step aside, to which I think it's safe to say we will all happily relinquish it.
