The real problem with Covid-19 death statistics is not overreporting, it’s underreporting.

This clip from the BBC goes on and on, but just watch the first two minutes.

For a specific week, there were 6082 more deaths in the UK than the five year average would suggest, yet only 3475 were listed as covid-19 related. What about the other 2607 surplus deaths? :eh:

The most simple suggestion is of course underreporting of covid-19 deaths. These are patients that probably died because of the corona-virus, but are listed as eg pneumonia, old age or cause unknown.

A scarier notion, which is mentioned in the clip, is that it is people who have not recieved treatment for problems unrelated to corona, either because doctors did not have time to help them or because they were afraid to go to the hospital. If things keep going for a longer period, this is likely to become a really severe problem, especially if the economy tanks.

It’s not an either or case, of course. It’s quite likely that there’s a bit of this and a bit of that, but Imho most of those 2607 cases are probably corona related but not listed as such on the death certificate.

The true scale of this pandemic will only be seen after we have had time to go through all the statistics. But so far reports from Spain, Italy and the UK all seem to confirm that there is a lot of underreporting going on. Especially when it comes to people who have died outside of the hospitals.

Well Per, it has already been stated that Who and agencies like the CDC only want reports of the ones who tested positive. All others are not to be reported as Covid deaths. Some countries are reporting them as Covid presumptive. But those numbers still do not get added to the official death rate. Again, only if someone had a positive test does it get included in the official count.

Testing has been the biggest problem for nearly every country and countries either intentionally want to suppress the number or they think from a scientific perspective they can only count those that have tested positive. Some countries are cataloguing tissue samples of the deceased for later testing but even that has not been made a requirement.

We will never know the true death rate. We will never know if our mitigation saved lives and if so how many. This is scary because we will have no true frame of reference for the next time, be it in our lifetime or not.

Well, after the fact we will be able to make fairly correct estimates, and then I assume it is very likely that the full difference between a normal year and 2020 may be attributed to the pandemic. I meam what else could have caused this sudden spike in fatalities?

Wife cares for seniors, most suffering some degree of dementia. She's now required to wear a hood, surgical mask, face shield and gloves. That freaks the hell out of her patients enough. She spends much of her time simply holding their hands as the try to cope with something they don't understand. Families do virtual visits but they can't understand why their children and grandchildren are in the TV. A couple of nights ago, one of her patients passed away largely due to the stress of feeling abandoned by the family who couldn't visit the past few weeks.

It's a cull, primarily of the old.

Hang in there Fred. Hope Donny is well.

Gomer already has dementia. He has one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel.

I had some lab work done about five weeks ago and the lab was already like something out of the movie Outbreak. Place was completely empty other than me and the girls working there.

Megaterio Llamas wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:36 am The Bill Swann video doesn't claim the US was working together with China on bio weapons research, that would be silly haha.
Well technically if it has the potential to be used as a bioweapon... it's a bioweapon.

But yes, it appears Fauci's superiors in the NIH were funding some research at the lab in Wuhan.

$3.7M worth.

Megaterio Llamas wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:36 am The video you posted doesn't seem to mention US funding of a research project in the Wuhan lab, but they do mention the Obama administration announced it was suspending funding on Shi Zhengli's SARS bat research in 2014.
Hmmm... I'll watch it again later.

I did some research today and see, in 2014, Obama did end up putting a moratorium on US funding certain kinds of bio research.

But it was not specific at all to Shi Zhengli's SARS bat research (which had been going on since 2004).

In fact, the NIH funding of Shi Zhengli's SARS bat research continued long after the moratorium.

The moratorium was extremely vague btw.

Megaterio Llamas wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:36 am And it has plenty to say about the CCP and none of it good. Which isn't surprising since Epoch Times is a Falun Gong publication ;)
Nonetheless, the video presents compelling evidence of Communist China's evil/fuckedupedness, wouldn't you agree?
