Ole Paddy is passionate for Mitch Marner. I personally think Marner is paid way to much money, he should be in that $6 to $7 million per range. He can’t get it done post season which is uuuuuuuuge!

He should be getting a minimum $3 million less than what he’s getting now. Nylander numbers is a fair number for him. He disappears in the big games

In 25 playoff games Nylander has 5 goals 10 assists. Vs Marners 5 goals 16 assists in 25 games, there really isn’t much difference. I’m fact the two of them have a dismal history with the playoffs. 4 years in a row knocked out in the first round. That has to say something about the top of the lineup

Add to that the fact that Columbus is built to stifle offense. They choke up the high scoring areas and let teams attack from the perimeter. They also punish teams physically.

Other than Kucherov and Point no player on Tampa has more than 4 points in the playoffs (this includes the round robin).

Marner had 4 points in 5 games. He has 21 points in 25 career playoff games. That's as good as any numbers on the Chef's beloved Gillis built hockey team.

I agree and I said the deal was too rich at the time, despite what your Sig says. Hayes is about a 5.5 million dollar player.

Not to nitpick, but *technically* the leaves didn't make it to the 1st round this year, so their ten year tank n rebuild got them to three first round exits, time to start over.
