Marner was going to get a hell of a lot more than 6 or 7 million bucks a year. You think this is 2006? Wake the fuck up.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 5:06 pm Ole Paddy is passionate for Mitch Marner. I personally think Marner is paid way to much money, he should be in that $6 to $7 million per range. He can’t get it done post season which is uuuuuuuuge!
At $10.8 million annually one would expect a nightly superstar. He absolutely stunk in the CBJ series. Just awful. His playoff stats are putrid for someone paid $10.8 million annually. Marner would have fit in nicely on the President Cup Gillis era here cause he’s a Regular Season Joe like Joe Thornton wasDoyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 6:14 amMarner was going to get a hell of a lot more than 6 or 7 million bucks a year. Dubas had a chance to lock him up at 8 years and 64 million the summer before. Dubas is an idiot.
His PPG average in the post season isn’t that bad.
Ridiculous salary that takes him to free agency. Glorified punk that can't play in the soil when needed.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 8:43 amAt $10.8 million annually one would expect a nightly superstar. He was still going to get a lot more than 6 or 7 million. Get your head out of your ass.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 8:43 amAt $10.8 million annually one would expect a nightly superstar. He should be getting a minimum $3 million less than what he’s getting now. Nylander numbers is a fair number for him. Add to that the fact that Columbus is built to stifle offense. They choke up the high scoring areas and let teams attack from the perimeter. They also punish teams physically.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 9:24 amHe was still going to get a lot more than 6 or 7 million. Barely but then again, Kevin Hayes getting $7 million per for 7 years is an atrocityDoyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 11:35 am No.... he’s an 8 million + player all day. Educate yourself on the market.
I agree and I said the deal was too rich at the time, despite what your Sig says. Hayes is about a 5.5 million dollar player.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 11:59 amBarely but then again, Kevin Hayes getting $7 million per for 7 years is an atrocityDoyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 11:35 am No.... he’s an 8 million + player all day. Not to nitpick, but *technically* the leaves didn't make it to the 1st round this year, so their ten year tank n rebuild got them to three first round exits, time to start over.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 9:38 am 4 years in a row knocked out in the first round. That has to say something about the top of the lineup
