Second period:

Firebirds goalie Nikke Kokko loses he puck in his crease, and an alert Phil DiGiuseppe deposits it behind the goaltender to get the Canucks on the board.

Canucks are buzzing now and Nate Smith wraps it around the net and past Kokko and it's 3-2 still early in the second period.

Jett Woo left the game early in the first period after getting hit from behind with Juhjar Khaira fighting the hitter.

Coachella with late pressure hitting both goalposts behind Tolopilo and forcing the Abby D to make some big shot blocks.

3-2 in favor of the Firebirds after two periods.

Third period:

Big save Tolopilo and a Brisebois block as Coachella applies early pressure.

Raty is missing from the Abby bench for the third period. Abby now is down two skaters.I'm messing with my phone to get the stream back up and Abby celebrates an apparent goal as play continues. Referees rule a goal and we have a tie game. Juhjar Khaira is credited with his first as an Abbotsford Canuck, and it's a big one.

Nare Smith with a steal and he sets upo Khaira for the Canucks go ahead goal.

4-3 Abbotsford.

But Ben Meyers tied it for Coachella, and we're off to overtime with a 4-4 score.

Good comeback though…

Whats up with Silvos? Why Tolopilo getting the L?

About four minutes into OT, Tolopilo has the puck on his stick behind the net and kind of freezes. He is checked by a Firebird, who centers it, and it's deposited right into the vacated Abboitsford net.

Final score: Coachella Valley 5, Abbotsford 4.

The teams head to Abby now to close out the series. Let's hope for good news on the Woo and Raty injury front; key players who left the game tonight.

I didn't see the first period, but Arty gave up three, and Tolopilo replaced him to start the second. This is when I tuned in.

Yeah, they almost pulled it off.

It was a gutsy effort. Shame the losing goal was kind of self-inflicted

But we got our split on the road. Three in Abbotsford now (if necessary).
