Agreed on both counts.
One of my favourite Canuck fights was Ryp and Janssen.

Re: Past Canuck Players
Speaking of Ryp, think there was video of him fighting a Thrasher(?), who was much taller than him, who was laughing at him before the fight started. Can't remember the player's name though.

Re: Past Canuck Players
Was Ryp bigger than I recall or is Janssen not really that big for an enforcer? Because in this tilt they look similar except Janssen had a huge noggin.
Was it his equipment?
In the May fight, you can still see Brad is slightly larger and we know Mayday was small when fighting up classes.

Re: Past Canuck Players
Rick Rypien (with perhaps some guidance from his father, Wes) figured out some technical elements of hockey fighting that still do not seem to have been widely adopted. It's why he was able to be so effective against much larger opponents, and an important part of my argument of why it would be possible to coach much more of the fighting element of hockey toughness into a given lineup, irrespective of past pugilistic proclivities, if a management or coaching group believed it would help.

Here's another good one:

No size mismatch here. Beats the "rust" off Brandon P, then gets Horny in the box.
