Yeah, I say Israel attacks a coupla Iran's nuclear facilities and calls it a day...

Of course that wasn't exactly legal either, albeit they could claim it was retaliation for Israel's attack on their consulate in Damascus, which in itself must be considered an act of war.

Either way, Israel (assisted by among others the USA, Jordan, Turkey and the UAE) shot down 99% of the missiles, that according to Iran were only directed at military targets, and fired at night to minimize the risk of civilans being present.

The casualty count so far is 16 people killed at the consulate building in Damascus, including two civilians, and one person injured in Israel.

The wise thing would be for everyone to just walk away now.

Unfortunately that's not what I expect to happen.

This is exactly not what we need just a few weeks ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest, which is held in Malmö, Sweden, in May this year.

Now, we don't register religious affiliation in Sweden, but there are roughly 50,000 Muslims in Malmö, give or take, and Israel is participating in the ESC. Several other participating nations have asked that Israel should not be allowed to participate this year, in the midst of the war in Gaza, but the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has decided that they can.

That there is still no cease fire in Gaza and that there now seems to be risk of the conflict spreading and involving more countries is bad news.

You can expect extensive demonstrations and street protests ahead of and during the Eurovision Song Contest.
I hope they can keep it civil. But again, that's what I hope. Not what I think will happen.

Well, it already has twice as many viewers as the superbowl, but sure, neither event can compare with the FIFA World Cup.
Which is logical as both are regional events, even if some non-European nations, such as Israel and Australia, participate in the ESC.

Finland will have to make some changes to their entry No Rules by Windows95 Man though.
The rules of Eurovision explicitly bans commercial product placement, albeit I think they ought to be able to make an excaption for Windows95.
