“It was Huggy. I went in and I could tell Huggy had it. They didn't even need me to scream and yell, they had it. So there's a time and place for that, but I knew right when he looked at me, and was like, ‘Hey, we got it.’ So that's a good thing from our captain.”

-Rick Tocchet on Quinn Hughes at the first intermission
Hughes will go down as the best Canuck to ever don the puking whale/spaghetti sliding off the plate/stick in rink

Damn rights.

Have we ever had a captain who the coach could say that about?

It's reassuring too. Hughes is such a quiet guy that you sorta wonder some times if he's actually got the chops to lead. A guy like Tocchet saying that.....yeah, reassuring.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

The Hughes Bros. get together and invite with a bunch of US hockey talent to their palace on the lake in Michigan and organize working out, shooting pucks (they have a set up in the basement for practice I think I recall) while having a general, overall, young dude, multi-millionaire good time.

Plus Quinn is the eldest and would have been looked up to and led his brethern.

In interviews he is clearly and by a long shot the most mature.

Leading all over the place.
