Doc we aren't sure yet if the NHL will extend the time frame for those Russians to join us at the end of their season. Which would be what April??

Even if he has such a clause, Canucks still can't sign an RFA at that point for the reasons given here:

(read my post and the following 10 or so in that thread)
The RFA deadline is usually December 1.
That will get pushed back just like every other date in the weirdness of COVID.
But there is no way it will get pushed back to April (when KHL season ends)
Patience is key.

Ya I keep forgetting that there is a difference in an RFA and in signing someone to their first contract. So maybe POD can join us when he signs his ELC?

Yeah the Russians will likely make there way over for the 2021/22 season lol seems so far.
But Podkolzin got listed in the KHL site now at 192cm pretty much 6'3" dude sprouted over the summer! At 202 lbs, he's already a bit more built than 6'3 195lbs Malkin.
With Tryamkin at 6'7" we gonna bring over some russian power after next season!

The Chef has it covered. Chatfield, Razor Thin Olaf, Cafferty and Ratbones are all ready for prime time, 20 min a night.
