Did you read the article where he said this is the first time in 2 years he hasn’t been playing in pain? Could be all the negativity you’ve piled on him was actually him just rehabbing through his injuries while playing. It sure would make sense why he wasn’t trying to muck things up in the ahl and his mobility was in question.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 2:19 pmThis adds nothing to the discussionChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 1:57 pmIt’s almost like you don’t want Six three two Hundred to succeed. Re: Canucks Young Guns
The SHL starts on Sep 19th, and the pre-season is now on. Rögle will face Växjö tonight.
Adam Tambellini had 63 points in 39 games last season for Modo and was one of the best players in Allsvenskan. If Corona hadn’t happened, I’m certain that both Björklöven and Modo had been promoted to the SHL after defeating Oskarshamn and Leksand respectively. But shit happens.
Anyway, those teams have now been plundered by the circling SHL vultures; two of Björklöven’s best players, Cooper and Cannata, now play for Oskarshamn, the team they would have replaced in the SHL had covid not happened, and almost half of Modo’s 2019/20 roster has been snapped up by SHL teams.
Tambellini will play in Rögle this season, thus becoming a team mate of Nils Höglander’s.
I know that for reasons unknown to mankind he considers Edmonton to be his hometown, but he should know Vancouver pretty well and might be able to give Nils some useful advice about North American hockey and living in Canada.
His brother Jeff played in Växjö in 2016/17 with Petey’s brother Emil, but had already left the team when Petey joined them for the 2017/18 season.

Rögle beat Växjö 3-1 in their first pre-season game. Höglander assisted on the second and third goals.
Didn’t see the game, so I can't really say much more.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
His two seasons after his draft were pretty crappy and he was fully healthy. That’s why I unloaded on the kid. Yes he’s had some injury issues the last two years and I’ve acknowledged that. It was still a poor pick unless he somehow becomes a stud, which is doubtful. He can still develop into a useful hockey player maybe in a middle pairing role.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 4:17 pmDid you read the article where he said this is the first time in 2 years he hasn’t been playing in pain? The Chef’s drivel adds nothing. I don’t hate Olli or want him to fail. He is who he is and I hope he can one day be a fixture on the team. The Chef isn’t happy unless he’s rifling his dirty diapers around the board. He’s lost the ability to debate. More importantly he seems to have lost the plot. Daily boozing and reckless drug use has caught up to him.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
We are just done tired of your insistent book writing on him. Some of us brilliant minds realize a) he was one of the youngest players of his draft class, really should’ve been a 2017 draft pick as he’s not much younger than Pettersson, so this all explains his much publicized immaturity issues the following season whereby forcing the Canucks to getting Salo on board to help mature him back home in Finland, that all went well but then the two major injuries that required surgeries to each followed. You really don’t seem to want to grasp all that, choosing to ignore it calling him a failure for what you assume as to him not being god enough, which is not true. Some kids take the slow boat to China in becoming men, Juolevi is one of them, doesn’t mean he can’t play. This book is far from being finished, Hemingway

Nice bit on Podkolzin from respected SKA Developmental Coach Bochner

After reading this on Podkolzin, the more convinced I am that Virtanen won’t be here long. Sounds like Podkolzin is everything we wish Jake could be.

You must be lost near the north end of Vancouver Island on that voyage.

with as many deer in headlights moments as solid plays. He'll get there soon enough, but don't get carried away by six minutes. Some folks thought the lil trojan was was the second coming after his initial play.rats19 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:55 amThat’s true doyle but you could tell he has the tools...Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:53 am He had six minutes of ice time. Stecher gets the lovable local mulligan. Hell I like Stech as a human but I’m a mean fan, all business when it comes to my expectations as a fan and Stech, well I love his heart, but he can be a comedy of errors out there like Doyle trying time find his way home from an evening at the Arms

He’s fine as a #6/7 guy making 1.5 million. He’s no worse a player than Sbisa and Gudbranson and you loved those guysChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 7:59 am Stecher gets the lovable local mulligan. I think the Stecher contract is going to be delicate situation to navigate around. He's likely not worth his qualifying offer as a 6/7 guy but between being a local boy and fan favourite, the loss of his father with the team and media rallying around him, and him being an integral part of the young core camaraderie, they can just arbitrarily move on from him like a Fantenberg. Best to sign him.

Re Stech, this playoffs is the end of the honeymoon. Benning needs to be more ruthless from here on out. Toffoli can walk as well unless he comes back and amazes.
Re: Canucks Young Guns
He gets released, if he find someone willing to sign him at close to his QO rate, he better have a pen ready.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:50 am Re Stech, this playoffs is the end of the honeymoon.
