McDavid tried to do it all himself... missing Crosby.

McDavid kept trying to do it himself in OT.

Everyone wanted to the hero. You need control 3 on 3.

No one to blame though really. Had our best 3 out there and came up short.

Tough to lose this one. I guess you could say the US was due. They ironically probably played better in the four Nations final but they got the goal when they needed it most this time.

Disappointing but great game to watch!

Needed to hold possession as others mentioned, and capitalize on the chances we had. Goaltending wound up being the difference which was the chatter pre-tournament.

Yep. Hellybuck finally had his moment. He was outstanding. I thought Binnington was solid - don't think he cost us today but Helly was the difference.

Has anyone checked in on Ron yet? He must be recasted with his hero turning over the puck on the game winning goal.

Binny did not cost us. Canada just didn’t bury 2 open nets in the 3rd.

No way did Binnington cost us, made some stellar saves including a huge one on Quinn in OT.

But Helly stood tall and was the only reason it went to OT. Well that and McKinnon missing the open cage.

One more reason to hate McDavid.

So when does the trade freeze end today? Let’s ship out our vets!

Mid-night. Trades tomorrow are possible until March 6th.

Watching Quinn wrap himself in that flag through the whole ceremony makes me think he was never destined to play in Canada.
