Getting paid for hoped for pie in the sky upper end of the projected performance before a couple seasons of consistent performance.

A few of these go south and owners will swing the pendulum back the other way.

Indeed.

The current flock has it made in the moment however.

Even Bissonnette, a notorious "players guy" (for obvious reasons), is questioning somw of these deals.

I'm no Ryan Lindgren expert Don. I was barely able to muster those three sentences about him, and it seems like more effort than it was worth at that. :)
Outside of 10 minutes ago, I knew nothing about this guy. But ESPN called him hard nosed. So, Megs, you are not alone on that assessment.

But with 1692 hours left to go, this could be an epic tilt. The click bait memes and titles could be Epic.

"Megs Destroys Blobbie"

"Blob Mckenzie Cancels Megs!!!"

"Make sure you are alone before watching Megs get denuded"

"Shocking admission by the man called Blob will leave you in tears"

"Megs-kenzie love child first photos revealed. You won't believe your eyes "
Tciso really should be working for the National Enquirer.

Nah. They print way too much truth. My drivel is best reserved for the tabloids, such as the CBC.
Great post. 😂

Actually the truth.

I endorse your twaddle!

...unlike the other constant babble, blather, gibberish, nonsense, tripe, balderdash, bunk, gobbledygook, hogwash, hooey, jabber, poppycock, prating, rot, rubbish from a certain home cook.

To steal the words of one Doc Strangelove (used as recently as yesterday).

Yeah, I got that.

I guess the big question is, how long did Elliot sit on this juicy tidbit before he could release the news?

Did he inform Marek???

Katie Strang and Dan Robson have finally revealed the story behind the Jeff Marek departure from Sportsnet.

Apparently Marek was tipping off long time associate Mark Seidel who then posted his uncanny pick predictions on twitter. This has been going on for a few years, it's apparently been an annual draft tradition with Seidel on twitter.

Cool. I have The Athletic but this will definitely come in handy.
