The Canucks brass have been quite clear that they want the Utica Comets to make the AHL playoffs. They are currently in a dogfight for playoff position. Subban will remain with Utica to help make a final push. Bank on it.
Good point!

I retract my statement ha.

I hope they make the playoffs, it'll be superb development/experience for Demko, Virtanen, McEneny, Subban, Rendulic, Carcone and Cassels(whom imo should be a solid #4C checker/faceoff guy, who in time could have a couple breakout seasons.)
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Agreed. We have both Biega and Larsen available to play right D. Larsen goes to D, Biega moves back up to forward.

Goldobin has to be deconstructed ala Virtanen and be rebuilt, Goldy has the raw tools, but needs to work on his two-way game, 100% effort yada yada.

Desjardins dropping bombs on the lazy hack
“I think he needs to prove he’s going to go hard at this level. He’s got to go hard. It’s a two-way street.”

Willie then pointed out, this is not an age thing.

“It’s not like I don’t play young guys. If guys come in and they’re going and they’re playing hard then they play. Molino has played. Boeser has played.

“There’s lots of young guys that play.”

I'd seriously send him to Utica. I'm sure they could use a goal or two down the stretch.

Too lazy to check can Goldy be sent down without waivers?

And he was already on SJS farm team when the trade was made and not recalled until after the TDD, so he's already papered.

Is Goldie really that healthy yet? Let him get healthy, and some c'nuck coaching over the summer, and he will at least be his real self.

Nice of Brandon Sutter to call out Goldobin publicly. Real team building shit right there from a foundational player.

You talking about this? If NHL players are too fragile to hear this, I think they're in the wrong league.
In that respect, Sutter knows what to expect Tuesday from Goldobin and is hoping to see an added dimension.

“When he has the puck he makes pretty good plays,” said Sutter. “The challenge for him is the other side of it, what to do without the puck and that takes some time to really learn it. You have to have the want to get the puck to go into the corners and the hard areas.

“To do that, you have to have grit and balls and he has to find that.”

When I heard that coming from him, it's about the hardest I've laughed all year.

Take a hike, Sutter. Get lost. Vamoose!
Actually, would only be right if somehow he was put in a position to back that up, tonight.
Doubtful.

More to the point.... who the hell is Sutter to talk about grit and balls ? He's one the biggest wimps in the league.

The season he's had, you're not wrong Blobber. Mind you, if he's saying that what does that make Goldobin?
