Ducks fire Budreau. Inevitable really.
Green has one year remaining on his current contract but apparently there is an out clause, a window, until the draft that he could exercise.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Yeah... no kidding. Losing Green is a growing concern.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I can see Green staying one more year and then taking over WD in 2017/18 haha.
With him having all the knowledge of the young guns already as he's coached them from a junior mess to pro's.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Even at its highest level, the CHL game is still a Jr game with a few 16 year old kids scattered across every line up.
I was impressed by ND very NHL style of play, but also realize that it is an older group of young men.

I get it but the damn CHL product needs some serious work. I was amazed at the shitty production of the WHL playoffs I've seen this year. C-Span has more life than that shitTopper wrote:Even at its highest level, the CHL game is still a Jr game with a few 16 year old kids scattered across every line up.

The style of game they play needs to be worked on. As skills progress the game becomes much more structured with less chasing. Chasing the play is why so many kids need a couple of years of AHL to get to the NHL.

The Memorial Cup should get all the dollars for production value.RoyalDude wrote:I get it but the damn CHL product needs some serious work. So Anaheim's Murray really sounded off, blasted his team. Something about Boudreau didn't have to be fired. Said its all the core, the same core that has lost the same way, repeatedly. Said he's had enough and the core is going to have to answer for this and expects to make major changes. Feels some of the core have gotten too comfortable. Promised the team that played the other night will not be the team that starts next season. Said they will be hearing different things in a different tone from him this off season.
Pretty pissed he was.

We'll see if the outrage fades with perspective, but nobody is going to do Murray any favours. It'll be interesting to see who he considers 'core' beyond Getzlaff, Perry and Fowler. They've already traded many of their younger players in their system. How different will that line-up really be come October and will it be better? Hopefully not.Hockey Widow wrote:So Anaheim's Murray really sounded off, blasted his team. Something about Boudreau didn't have to be fired. Sounds like Eakins may come in to lay down the law. Given how effective he was as sheriff in Edmonton, I wonder if that will do any good? Hope not.
Anyhoo, glad to see that all is not well in the Kingdom to whom fuck-face pledges his allegiance now.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.
