Not saying Malhotra is a bad coach, just saying that I really don't get the hype on him and Johnson.

I might have something to do with being a developmental league and they deciding not to bring the team back.
If you want to blame RJ for that okay, but that seems more like a Ruthrerford/Allvin decision:

For the record, I don't love RJ at all. I just don't love any of the other names thrown out so far. Most of whom have as much or less experience running a hockey team. In that case maybe better to go with the devil you know who already has a head start knowing the franchise, players, prospects, staff, scouts, etc., inside out. AHL success or lack there of, whatever, not make or break imo.
And he wasn't a TFG guy originally, so I can easily disassociate him from those clowns. Way more integrity, could you see him repeat the Boudreau debacle?
That is provided he can work under a new reputable POHO. Wouldn't want him running the show solo.
All that said, I can just as easily buy into wiping the slate completely clean. But is that really happening if AIG and JR are handling the hiring? I just really don't want another failed retread type like Bergevin or Gillis.

If they’re going to pick managers based on their looks, they should look for people with psycho eyes like Bill Zito. Maybe Darcy Rota should be hired. He’s got them googly eyes. That might work.
