Bedard and Jarvis are currently injured, so I'd probably give Johnston the nod.
Me too, big fan of the kid. 20 goals 25 assists this season so far, good size too - 6’-1” 190 lbs

No Ekholm for Sweden but Broberg who the Oil recently punted down the road is.....
...as well as the much maligned OEL.

Even though some Canuck fans are loathed to admit this but OEL has actually been playing very good hockey since escaping Tocchey Hockey, the same Tocchey Hockey that sent Podkolzin to the Oilers where he now thrives for a mere 4th round pick we later used to pry sugar daddy Kane. Tocchey Hockey is no longer in Vancouver. So we are haunted on many levels, ahem -OEL’s buyout being one of them. If we kept OEL or signed Zadorov, is the NYR 1st flipped for M. Pettersson???
Speaking of 4th round picks what did Genius Rutherford do with the 4th round pick we received for Pittsburgh’s goalie - Silovs?

Can’t disagree with you. I see that he and Michkov are already fighting. I don’t see that marriage lasting knowing Tocchet.

His hatred for Russian players perplexing, drove Kuzmenko out too. Not a surprise Petey’s output declined right after that.

Tocchet is an old school throw back. Not surprised, really. Gillis made it mandate not to draft any Russian’s while here. Some are just wired that way.
The problem with OEL and Tocchet, too much water under the bridge from their rocky marriage in Arizona. Unfortunately, OEL was here before Tocchet. Tocchet is a stubborn mule, likes certain players hates others. Seems to be no middle ground.

OEL stunk under Boudreau too. He doesn't beling on Sweden any more than Miller or Trochek belong on he American squad.

So in your untainted view of OEL, he doesn’t deserve to be on Team Sweden? Then how in gods name did he get on there? Someone needs to get to the bottom of this!
Should they have sent Marcus Pettersson instead? We gave up a first round pick for him???
