Donny if you're on here check out the big old heifer with the massive watermelon globes bursting out of a way too small shirt behind the Dallas coach. Not the one to the left...the huge one to the right lol

Florida is absolutely taking the boots to Carolina in the conference finals. Outscoring them 20-7 in their last 6 playoff meetings. The swept them 2 years ago in the Conference Finals. These past 2 games have not even looked close.
The Hurricanes have been a top 3 team in the east for the last 5 seasons. Since Brind'amour took over behind the bench they have not missed the playoffs, and they have made the conference finals 3 of 7 times, and they have only been a first round exit once. However, they have failed to get to the finals.....at what point do they pull the trigger and make some changes to get over the top?

Interesting thing about the thoroughbred horses on Florida
Ekblad - 1st overall draft pick
Reinhart - 2nd overall draft pick
Barkov - 2nd overall draft pick
Jones - 4th overall draft pick
Bennett - 4th overall draft pick
Tkachuk - 6th overall draft pick

And they drafted 2/6 of those guys. Bill Zito turned that team around in a hurry.
Do you care to comment on the games or just bitch about random shit?
The time is nigh Grossbart. Sort it out.
Dude soaks the place in diesel and fires a match and says......"who me"....?

If Carolina fizzles out in the conference championships, I see significant changes coming to the roster. If Andersen keeps getting lit up while Bobrovsky cooks, I can see goaltending being seen as a problem by management. Do they inquire about Demko in that event? Will they end up seeing roster weaknesses elsewhere?
Similarly, if Dallas gets beat out by Edmonton again, do they question their group's composition? Unlikely. If Edmonton gets beat out because of shaky goaltending, do they look at the goaltending trade market? I wager they already are, unless they win it all with Skinner in net. I'm not putting any money on that happening.
You look at how Florida has succeeded against Toronto and its goaltending, and I can see them being in the market for a goalie as well. That's in addition to whatever roster surgery they do.
It's not just the non-playoff teams who may be contemplating serious roster moves. Hopefully management is keeping an eye for opportunities and phoning their knocked-out counterparts already.

Agree. Demko, especially at his salary next year along with a rising cap, has value to a team like Edmonton or Carolina if they crash out due to shaky goaltending. They just need to manage his games during the season and he should be fine for the playoffs. I would also add Toronto in this group as well.

This isn’t just goaltending. Carolina has only managed 2 goals. The parts of the game I’ve watched, Bobrovsky has not had to be spectacular. I’m a little surprised because the Canes have some pretty talented players, but they don’t produce a ton of points, even in the regular season they don’t have a player who notched 1 PPG. While they don’t have quite the same firepower as Florida, how much of this is style?
I do agree that they haven’t gotten outstanding goaltending, and that does need to change.

Skinner is so hot and cold, sometimes he surprises. The Oilers just need him to have 8 good games in the next 13…..I’m not writing them off.
But Bowman would be a fool to try running it back again with his current goaltending, regardless of outcome. Put a consistent top 10 goaltender in Edmonton and they probably win last year and are looking to repeat.

If the Oil did crash and burn in this round or next round, due to goaltending and came calling the Canucks regarding Demko, what should the Canucks ask for back? Obviously McJesus and Draisatl would be off the table, but what kind of package could tempt the Canucks to trade their best goaltender to a division rival?

Demko and Pettersson for Draisaitl.

Oilers have shit to offer.
Savoir Savoi (just to be a dick), 2027 1st, and Picard. Make it so.

Indeed.
Took the Cats awhile to get rolling this year, but they're a machine now.

Yep. The Panthers are looking like they’re gonna be in the finals for the 3rd year in a row.
