NDP $2.5M

Of note is the NDP only recently cleared off their debt from the lead into the last campaigns. Conservatives pulling in 3 X what the Liberals are raising.

These funds can be used in the lead up to an election, however once the election is called, they can not use their Party coffers, instead each Party gets an equal amount of taxpayer money to campaign with.

If you wonder why we are inundated with Conservative advertising, it is because they can afford it.

Canadians can contribute $1725/yr with another $1725 that can be contributed to the local candidate if an election is called. Corporations and Unions can no longer contribute.

If memory serves, then Immigration Minister Barbara MacDougal quadrupled the numbers recommended by a Royal Commission on immigration of their own Conservative government.

It is time for Pierre to move along from the bumper sticker slogans and start looking Prime Ministerial. Whenever he does that, he comes across as very capable.
