Watched hockey for nearly half a century. Never seen anything like that disallowed goal. Funny thing was I was watching Silovs that whole time wondering why he's slow to get set and if it might cost us. Sure enough the puck goes right in off the draw. Just like I foresaw in my mind. Then to get that called off. Bizarro!!
Outshot badly but I didn't think it was a lopsided game by any means. CLT didn't look all that impressive to me and got lucky from a shaky start by Silovs. Perhaps from rust, but unless they have another gear I believe we got a shot at this. Needed the split for sure and got it. Now don't be content, grab the stranglehold on Sunday.

He was at fault for that period ending last second goal when he didn’t get it in deep and for some weird reason wanted a line change. He needs to be more dependable, but scoring two double OT goals is really clutch. The Canucks really could use that.

Not sure what was stranger. Refs calling it off (balsy!), or just how that whole thing played out. Watching Silovs facing the other way just as the puck's about to drop. I seriously visualized it just before it played out exactly the way it did. Couldn't believe it actually happened, and was pissed they could let one get away on that kind of an error. Almost turned it off right then and there just when I heard Astle say they might waive it off. Shocked they actually did. Now, question I have is was it the right call? I can usually answer any hockey questions, but this one I honestly don't know. Still baffled.

Agree on Klimo. Whenever I watch him the feeling I get is I hope this guy never makes the bigs because he just looks like one of those big dumb guys who'll frustrate the shit out of me with inconsistency and obvious lack of any kind of hockey sense. That's ok, he was never on my radar anyway, so a few good plays once in awhile down in the A is good enough for me.
