I like Boeser. I think he takes a ton of shit around here from some folks…..some of it deserved, but mostly not. However, I’ve never looked at him as being a guy who will carry a line. Boeser needs a centerman who can create space and then find Brock for the goal.

Our D is better. Good, not perfect, but much better and more importantly deeper now that it's not necessary to ice Juulsen regularly and can even afford to park Soucy a few games when he struggles.


Our goaltending should be great, and even better now that the D is shored up. I have no doubts Demko will find consistency. Only question is how soon.


Our forwards? Oh boy...I think a case can be made we have the least scary attack in the league right now (scary for us for the wrong reasons). Even if Petey finds his game it's pretty dreadful and easy to shutdown. So much work to do here. We need 1 top center and 2 potent top 6 wingers to contend. Good luck!

There is indeed a lot of reliance on EP and Chytil to be our play drivers up front.

Each member of the team is given a string of rope, different sizes for different team members, and then you let them learn thru their mistakes and with each mistake you give out some of their rope....If the time comes when they have run out of rope then its time to step in and deal with the situation ...

I also use a rope method for managing employees. I give them enough rope to hang themselves. I even tie a noose for them.

Trying to find the Allvin presser but media reporting some things. Allvin saying that about 2 months ago he spoke to JT and his agent and a number of things were going on around JT. It wasn’t about a Pettersson Muller rift but more a cultural and personal divide involving the team. Everyone felt JT needed a fresh start somewhere. JT did not ask for a trade but was open to moving on. This of course led to him asking for personal time off.

We will probably never know the whole story but I do think the rift between the two has been wholly blown out of proportion. It sounds like there were a number of factors involved and one thing of interest was Allvin saying his job was to creat a dressing room where players felt safe. He also said they were not a country club. So a whole lot of shit thrown against the wall but no real info, which is to be expected.

Perhaps it’s simple. The shelf life of JT was up. But it also sounded like there were issues bigger than it in addition to a rift between he and Pettersson.

I find myself asking who leaked all of this to the media and why? Was it the Canucks to ensure sufficient pressure on JT to be generous in who he waived for? I think as usual the media latched onto one juicy story but never did due diligence to find out the whole story. Players past and present all saying the rift story was way overblown. Why did the Canucks not silence that noise yet instead let it fester?

Oh well, we will never know but for what it is worth, JT wanted a fresh start and was ready o move on, whatever the reasons. And unlike Kesler he was willing to consider numerous options to facilitate a move.

Juulsen might be the worst player in the league.

Hopefully they aren't done with the roster moves. I don't think they are.

Then they start working the phones on Petey as a smokescreen (they were never going to trade him).

This increased the Miller offers, taking them from horrible to bare minimum.

I know past teammates have said JT was fine in the room.
