OEL is a fine player but that contract is going to be a problem sooner than later just based on the numbers and the Canucks needing to ante up on Pettersson and Hughes, being stuck with an overpaid Myers, and the Boeser steep qualifying offer. That doesn't even include re-signing any of their own UFA's this offseason and ultimately having to do another deal for Horvat. Add to it the natural decline in play, and hey he's sure getting a lot of dough and term for coming nowhere near a Norris Trophy, and the cost to get him if it includes any one of Podkolzin, Hoglander, or Rathbone.

This is not a deal they should be making IMO.
